    Moving up to Fife

I'm moving up to Fife for at least 6 months. Kirkcaldy from what I know at the minute. Contract with Fife Council

    Two questions

    Wheres the nearest dancing?

What's the best way to come up from Nottingham?
[Currently plan is BMIbaby to Edinburgh, bus to Inverkeithing, train to Kirkcaldy]

    I'd appreciate any kind advice.

    Cheers ... Ian

Nearest dancing is in North Queensferry on a Tuesday (next to Inverkeithing and quite a small venue - PM Bill for info), or Edinburgh Ceroc (Mon Tues Thurs).

    hi,

I dont know about the dancing but i do know that you can get a train straight to kirkcaldy from edinburgh, you dont have to take a bus to inverkieting.

here website for trains from edinburgh to kirkcaldy

    Hope this helps.

I've checked this out .... and, although you're quite correct, the bus from the airport to Edinburgh station takes about the same time as it does to Inverkieting .... which is nearer my destination!!

All makes sense from me down here ... someone more local may well have far better information.

    Thanks anyway.

Hmmmm ... Is this a touch of schadenfreude, Mr Smurfmeister sir???!

Is there something I need to know??

How likely am I to be torn limb from limb as a southern invader??

.... guess I'll need to pack a disguise as well.

Anyone got a spare kilt at all??

If you're actually going to be living in Kirkcaldy, it's also do-able to attend the Ceroc (and ssshhhh, you didn't hear it from me, non-Ceroc!) activities in Dundee or Perth. Easier if you have your own wheels, but others do it.

Chorlton always managed without wheels, strange though that appeared.

Yeah but make sure you have it cooked properly - in a cloth bag, at hot breath temperature, gently squeezing the bag for about 3 hours.

It's quite tedious so the best chefs pass the time by pretending to play music.

Yeah.. you can always hear the screams of anguish coming from the baby haggis while they do this..
