I think 2007 will bring a greater distinction between smooth, slotted MJ, and "traditional" MJ.
What will be that main change in MJ dances and dancing for next year ??
IMO The new swingy/bluesy club in Twickenham may be the way forward rather than the club scene - at least it has been tested on the weekenders for the past couple of years and has a following - but to bring in the younger crowd Simon B does have the right idea.
Maybe the 'club scene music' could be tried at a weekender to see if people like it ??
Or will a new dance style combination with MJ emerge - like "Swive " or "Slotted Jive" (MJ & WCS) Simon R did a very sucessful class at Bliss last month

That date is recognized as her official birthday.

I predict there will be even more freestyle events with two room!

Fragmentation.
As the partner dance market grows, organisers will try different routes to success.
Some try big events with themes, some try multiple-room events, some try Blues / Latin / tango style, some try nightclub events, some try weekenders, and so on. We've seen this already, but I predict we'll see more specialisation and fragmentation next year.
For example, in the weekender market, people will become more discerning, there will be more choice and more competition - leading to different styles emerging for most weekenders. Ceroc weekenders will set a minimum (and high) standard, but won't be right for some dancers.
Oh, and I'll hit 10,000 posts.
