    Since you ask....

Is it possible to see a preview of a private message (with all the formatting etc.) before you send it. When you post on a public thread you can preview to check all your tags match & it looks sensible - but I haven't discovered yet how to do this when sending private messages.

    Am I missing a button/function somewhere?

    Thanks,
    David

The only option I've found is to paste the whole of the message into notepad or something, view it under 'sent items', delete the original message before the sender sees it, and then paste, edit and post the revision.

It seems like that should work, but the only time I tried it I ended up sending two messages.
    :sorry

Would be nice if there was a button to preview personal messages though

There's no slick preview AFAIK, but an easier way than this is to write the PM as a reply to a post, preview it, and then post the previewed raw text (via c&p) into a PM.

You do, however, have to be very careful not to post it by mistake, or a PM wont be all that P.

I wanted to preview PMs as well, so far what I have done it to send it to myself, preview it and forward it from there. Seemed to work but might not be the easiest way.
