What have been the best/worst experiences in dancing so far?
Best
- Meeting my girl. :awe:
- Realise just nice some people can be.:respect:
- Losing weight.
Worst
- Reaslise just how horrible some people can be.
- Politics. Not what I originally signed up for. If I had, I wouldn't have bothered.
- Follower looking at watch mid dance. :banghead:
- Being refused!!!!!!!!!!!:angry::angry::angry:
(my damn numpty grammar, can someone change "has" to "have" in the title cheers!)

Best
Many many amazing dances. Too many to count.
Meeting a lot of truly inspirational people.
The overall effect dancing has had on my life (radically changed it beyond anything I might have dreamed of)
Worst
Injuring a dance partner. Twice. Many many years ago, but still a shameful memory

Best:
Lovely people I have met and become friends with:friend:
Learning to dance
Fantastic dances that have left me feeling elated and high:D
Appreciation for different types of music
Dance weekenders and a couple of Dance cruises to the Caribbean (amazing)
Something to look forward to every week.
Finding the forum so I can escape from work for a few minutes
Worst
Not always having enough time for my non dancing friends and family – One of my friends remarked recently that she feels she has lost me to dance. Promise to make more effort in the future:blush:.
Spending half my life in a state of exhaustion trying to keep up with my life
Not losing weight!!!!
The feeling of self doubt you get when someone refuses you or gives you a less than pleasant dance (working on reframing my feelings (work in progress)).

dancing with my son Joe
spending time on weekenders with both my children
meeting lots of people
lost of fun and laughs

Re: What have been the best/worst experiences in dancing so far?
Best:
Meeting loads of new friends, one of whom became my wife :awe:
Having huge amounts of fun
Getting fitter (although not losing any weight...)
Improving my dancing, and my confidence in my dancing
Hearing lots of music I like
Worst:
Being treated with complete disdain by dancers who thought they were too good for me
Losing up to three nights a week :nice:
Occasional elbows to heads, heels to toes, and other minor injuries
Having someone stomp their long sharp heel into the side of my ankle and then drive it with their full weight down into the side of my foot. I screamed and swore very loudly. Thankfully the music was loud too
Re: What have been the best/worst experiences in dancing so far?
Best:
- Discovering that I can actually dance without embarrassment
- Physical exercise that's actually enjoyable
- The buzz from competing
- Getting lost in the music and experiencing that "in the zone" feeling
Worst:
- The toxic politics and manipulation
- Getting lost in obscure city streets trying to find unfamiliar venues
