Gift inspiration sorely needed
Alrighty folks and folkettes, I need your help!
I am attending a party where each guest have to buy a present for another guest. We have a budget of £10.00 each and we need to buy for a specified person, one present for each of the letters in their first name. Each present have to start with a letter from their name/
The person who comes closest to the £10.00 "wins" the game.
I've got to buy for a chap called Matthew, so that's 7 presents for £10 pounds.
I've got the "A" in his name sorted as I found a copy of "Asterix and Obelix" in a charity shop - that was 32 pence.
any idea's?

Am loving the Tic Tac idea  Now I just need to find out which are the Tics, and who are the Tac's so i can devide them into 2 pressies

Re: Gift inspiration sorely needed
You could push the boat out and give him Tictacs and a twix bar - that should leave you plenty of dosh for a lovely hat from the charity shop / market. Depending on where you buy it from they may be able to write you a receipt out for the exact figure you need to make up your £10 - or would that be cheating ?
Re: Gift inspiration sorely needed
I am pretty sure that cooking the receipts would be cheating

Add the suggestion of a hat (try charity shop or Peacocks?) from Yliander and a Wispa chocolate bar too? Agree you buy the sweeties first then shop around for the hat, to see how close you can get to your budget.

Bet many a cheap plastic whistle fell out of a cracker over Crimble - sod's law, innit ?
A novelty store might have stocked some, and a safe bet would have been a pet shop; though again possibly quite expensive and ultrasonic to boot.

Ahhh, but isn't there a 99p shop in Sutton High Street:wink:?
Don't forget there are two joke shops which have lots of good ideas in them. Personally I prefer the joke shop in Times Square as they stock dance shoes in there too .

A cheap watch maybe?
Or a bottle of mineral water?
Or keep the receipt for the Wrapping paper. ;)

If you don't want to get a Wispa, then what about a woggle? Or a worm sweetie?
