Count, as in contribute towards the total of all your posts? No.

Count, as in contribute towards the general tone and quality of the forum? Well, it's up there with the contributions of several regular posters...

If that counts as a post; then this counts as a reply.

The test forum allows people to make lots of posts, experiment all they want and not have their posts deleted for being off-topic, or simply a waste of time.

They don't count in your "posts:" count to stop you boosting your post count in order to get greater rep power or status.

You can still see all the posts someone makes, and their true post count, via the search engine...

But, Patrick, I'm at a loss as to why this is of concern to you.

Both this (http://www.cerocscotland.com/forum/showpost.php?p=228633&postcount=9147) and this (http://www.cerocscotland.com/forum/showpost.php?p=228636&postcount=9149)counted as posts (but do make sense in context)

Be Well,
Christopher

Curious thing to be curious about as a first post...

Ignore me Duncan. Ever since I've moved to North London I've turned grumpy. :na:

Who'd've thought it....

Dammit. You're right. I was going to write a witty retort, but I realised I'd already posted it on 17 October 2003 (http://www.cerocscotland.com/forum/showthread.php?p=31080&highlight=bugger+off+smurf+face#post31080). :na:

Thanks Lou. I'm glad 2 c someone can spot the obvious! (Joined yesterday, zero posts...) I'm fascinated by what will happen when I do a real post.

Especially as it was going to be looking for a showcase partner for the scottish champs... Wouldn't want to get that wrong!

Thanks for the info and welcome. It was just a test message, but also curious 2 c if test messages did bump up your post count. I resolved not to post 4 as long as possible, it can get 2 addictive... Now I can post rubbish to my heart's content and it won't count!

Thanks, Christopher. I'm sure they were very profound comments! I think I deserve some points now...:innocent:

 you can get rep for test messages so you've now got a Rep score despite having "0 posts" - isn't technology wonderful?
