The commemorative page is one of the most detailed on the site, rivaling entries for Firefly ... for sheer length

 Wikipedia (http://www.wikipedia.org/) is a on-line encyclopedia that is edited by its readers. It has a number of strengths and weaknesses compared with traditional encyclopedias...

It's fast-moving, vast, free, and because anyone can add to or edit it, if you know something that's not in it – you can add it.

On the other hand, due to it's open nature, and the self-selection of topic editors, it comes with no guarantees of accuracy or impartiality.

Its editors tend to be a certain type of person – so it is strong in Science and SciFi, but weak in many other disciplines and culture. For example, Mr Spock's (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spock) page is more than twice as long as Dr Spock's (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dr_Spock).

The most irritating aspect is that often pages will get "vandalised", with crudity, malicious slander or advertising spam.

And with this article (http://www.theonion.com/content/node/50902), The Onion (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Onion) has perfectly captured the nature of Wikipedia. True genius.

Uncyclopedia (http://uncyclopedia.org/wiki/Main_Page) is a fantastic source of misinformation and contains some wonderful entries. It's extremely offensive in places, so don't read it if you dislike such things.
