For a few months now I have had a problem accessing the forum via firefox.

When I gain access via firefox I can view the "recent posts" list but the list does not show the little stripes after the last posters name which allow you to go to that persons post.
The only way I can enter a thread is to click on the title of the post which takes me to post #1.

Having entered a thread through the "title" I have a further problem. I appear to be stuck in "read only" as there is no "quote" button to allow me to reply to a specific quote nor is there a "reply " to allow me to post anything at all.

I can access the Forum via IE. which is where I am posting from now. But this access will not let me use smileys, nor will it remember my log on details.

I have been frustrated today in not being able to accesss the picture gallery either.... does anyone know what is wrong with my computer??

When I click on "photo gallery" the page changes to the log on page and requests me to log on again!!!!! very confused!!Reading your other post today on the photo gallery thread, I see something that you may want to check (as Ducasi pointed out): that you're accessing the different parts of the Forum from the same base url: for instance, www.cerocscotland.com, not just cerocscotland.com for parts of it. Cookies on your PC are filed under the name of the server, so although you can reach the same website via different server names, if you do so in the middle of a session your browser will not realise that, and may ask you to log in again as though you were visiting an entirely different website.

Thanks ESG but not being very techie!! What should I do.... re above I am not sure what you are asking me to do!!Ok - as you navigate around the site, check what's in your browser's address box: everything should (ideally) begin "http://www.cerocscotland.com/forum/.."

That should be fine as long as you navigate around the site clicking on links within the pages.

However: if you have any shortcuts stored on your desktop, or in your bookmarks menu, or anywhere else on your pc that when you click on them give you forum pages that begin "http://cerocscotland.com/forum..." or "http://72...." or something else - then delete them. Then go to "http://www.cerocscotland.com/forum" - type it in yourself - and recreate your bookmarks or shortcuts from there.

Okay just done that but using firefox as a browser I enter the forum using "http://cerocscotland.com/forum..." but from recent posts list I still have no ability to post or edit. as per my first post of this thread. Any idea why these "edit" "reply" ""quote" buttons don't work and why I am unable to access the latest post via the "stripes " near last posters name?

I am back again posting in IE,

When using Firefox and "http://cerocscotland.com/forum..." entry, I can get into photo gallery but where photos should be I have a dot in the middle of the box where the photo should be.. any ideas why this might be?

I think that the cookies and cache may be a bit mixed up with having changed the way it wa pointing to the site - clear them out, then you will have to log in again, then that should be it.

Okay just done that but using firefox as a browser I enter the forum using "http://cerocscotland.com/forum..." I think you're still possibly missing out the "www".
I suggest deleting your current links and creating a new one that is http://www.cerocscotland.com/forum (http://www.cerocscotland.com/forum)
