Did anybody else just encounter a problem with the forum? I couldn't connect for about 5 mins? Now I appear to be the only one on line.... moderators?

max kudos to Franck and his army of <s>darkness</s> moderators.

As a forum host myself I know what it's like when things get a little ..well.. icky. Users screaming at you as if it's their inalienable right to moan about something you provide for them when it stops working for a nanosecond :)

The joys of MySQL database repair, forum backups etc.. it's a nightmare so well done to the Forum team. :respect: :respect:

my imagination or is there something wonky abotu the search feature?

I've tried a few times to 'search by key word' and its come back every time saying no matches

(and I've tried with really common words liek Southport, Dance, Dare, Joke etc)

Is this just me?

Nope – search now seems totally broken, rather than mostly. ;)

It wouldn't let me start a new thread.

seems to be suffering intermittent problems when one attempts to edit an existing post.

I couldn't edit a post yesterday, but it seems to be ok today.

Is this just me?I remember something like this happened before (http://www.cerocscotland.com/forum/showthread.php?p=66354#post66354).

There's an index which the forum maintains of when words are used. Franck had to rebuild the indexes back then. Maybe it's the same problem again?

That was what I was thinking – but does the search function find any recent pages?

I have been missing the pop-up feature for a while, where hovering over a post previews it. This does save me opening threads that have misleading or obscure titles. Is it my PC or the Forum software?

It's definitely a change in the set-up of the forum – it's not just you.
