Just getting into downloading podcasts (trying to, different story)

I have found BBC Radio 4. What more can a man desire? Well Mark Kermode's film reviews on Radio 5 is good too.

Well I looked at a couple of the online directories which are well organised directories of American pap.

Any personal recommendations from other podcast downloaders?

All depends on what you're looking for.

One management based podcast that I am a fan of is from www.manager-tools.com

Another one that I enjoy is a guy who's studying law an the university of Cincinati - www.lifeofalawstudent.com - if you're interested in American legal system.

Err... you can do all that stuff from iTunes :D.

I love Mark Kermode's film review.

I also listen to the Tartan Podcast (http://www.tartanpodcast.co.uk/) which is a wonderful introduction to unsigned (and the occasional signed) Scottish bands.

I'm also subscribed to the Addicted To Salsa (http://www.addicted2salsa.com/) video cast; which goes through a variety of Salsa moves and the NASA videocast (http://www.nasa.gov/multimedia/podcasting/help.html) because it's interesting.

I am subscribed to a few more but I never listen to them so it's hardly a glowing recommendation.

:yeah:
Tartan podcast is well worth a listen. Another personal fave is Tips from the top floor (http://www.tipsfromthetopfloor.com/) which is about digital photography and comes from a German guy. Improved my photography no end and you can get it via iTunes.

No one particular topic. I am interested in what other people listen to / watch as a route into material I might not otherwise come across.

I know, I know.

I don't know what MP3 player you have but if it fills from a folder you could just use iTunes to get your podcasts and take it from the folder it downloads to. Or you could use that other program... whatever it is called.

CliveOK, you asked for it. Bet you haven't seen this (http://www.simplephotolife.com/blog/) before (it's girly and you have to like photography). And if you like that, there's a whole series of Simple Photo Minutes - labelled as podcasts and vodcasts. If you just like Apple, go to the March 10 podcast of Becker for his dual 30 inch screens.

I like a couple of the Radio 4 Podcasts - "From our own correspondent" which I usually find interesting, and "The Now Show".

I've also signed up for the Guardian's World Cup Podcast.
