Glasgow hotel - any recommendations?

I'll be venturing into Glasgow in July for a wedding. It's happening at the University. I was wondering if anybody locally could recommend a nice hotel close by?

Which one? Glasgow, Strathclyde or Caledonian?

I guess it's Glasgow, in which case the Hilton Grosvenor is quite near and often has special offers.

I did a bit of surfing & came across a place called the Kirklee, which seems nice & close to University of Glasgow *grins at JohnS*. Seems very pleasant too, according to the website. (How did we ever manage before the Internet?)
