This is totally unscientific – self-selecting sample of a biased sample – but let's see what happens anyway...

So...

What partner dances can you do?

You get to decide what "can do" means. Naturally, I've missed out your favourite dance form. It was just to annoy you.

Admittedly there's never been a poll (I don't think) before, but I think this topic has come up. Where're Gadget and MH when you need them? :flower:

It would be lovely to be able to see the results, so that when that great boogie woogie track comes on, that would just about kill any jive dancer, you'd know who to grab!

I've had a few lessons in Irish Dancing as one of the teachers at my school does classes with the older children and colleagues.

Just curious what is on Wednesday evening in Kentish Town. Something at the Expressions studio, or at a Church in Kentish Town, or something new. (The previous review you did of Chiswick in the North London Tango / Ballroom etc was very useful  ).

The forum this poll is located in might be kind of self selecting - might be a bit more representative in a more general section.

Why not Ballroom? (http://www.cerocscotland.com/forum/showthread.php?t=5125)
Poll: Ballroom Dancing (http://www.cerocscotland.com/forum/showthread.php?t=4773) {I think this is the poll I was remembering}

Thank you.

Anton du Beke teaches at Expressions studios on Wednesday's.
Beginners 7.30 to 8.30, intermediate 8.45 to 9.45.
£10 one class, £15 two classes.
Its a great feel good class, much less obessive technique than Chiswick, much more getting people moving round the room. I tend to just do intermediate, the ratios are pretty poor - varies between 3 to 1 and 2 to 1 girls to guys, I think its better in beginners.

Great floor, proper studio, near the tube, or street parking.

Hope that helps.

Occasionally he can't make it, Erin taught a couple of times - she's awesome, last week was another ballroom chap from Oz.

...Details of Kentish Town Class ..

Nice description - it's good to hear some details, especially of a non-fixed partner class.

Well being brought up in Aberdeenshire all my life I was taught to ceilidh at school! It started off being 'Oh My God we have to touch boys?????' But byt the time we got to 5th year we were crashing others PE clases! So I guess I can hold my own at ceilidh's!

The only other partner dancing apart from Ceroc I've tried is Tango which I did this time last year for a few weeks but didn't last very long! But I went back last night! And loved it - Completely useless but loved it!!! Hopefully I'll be able to do that soon too!

who ticked none?????????????????????????????Actually currently 88 people have voted and only 85 voted for the first option, so three people who voted don't do any form of MJ at all. Odd, on a MJ forum.

I'm surprised it is as little as that, given it is probably the best UK forum for any partner dance form.
