Simon and I are coming up to Derbyshire this week-end so that I can find my roots (no hairdressing jokes please!).

Anyway, I thought the experience would be greatly enhanced by joining my Derbshire cousins for a dance on Saturday night, but having checked with the Ceroc (Tm) operators in the West, East and Central Midlands, no-one is holding a freestyle, due to the Championships in London!

Are there any independents out there who may be able to assist? Please help, as I am not sure that I can go a whole week-end without a dance! :what:

Thanks

Elaine

PS - Are there any Ceroc venues in England holding a Saturday night freestyle - according to the main Ceroc website, the answer is 'no'.

I wish. Maybe I should start up the Tramp airlines. That'd save me a bit!

Please help, as I am not sure that I can go a whole week-end without a dance!I have the same problem as I'm not going to the Champs & live in Derbyshire. There are a couple of events in the area on Friday night (which may be another reason why Sat night is quiet). I looked at the uk-jive website - I believe the nearest is Bowdon on the edge of Manchester. See http://www.blitzjive.com/ for more info. Depending where you are in Derbyshire it may be feasible...

Thanks for the information, but I think that it may be too far! :tears: We are staying just South of Derby and as we are travelling up on Saturday, we would really like to go somewhere close. I have been told of an event in Peterbrough and will check that out this evening.
