Enjoyed (half) of the last one so would like to do it again (especially as it's a Saturday this time around). Clashes with Letchworth but since that was a crap night the last (and only time) I went there that's not a concern.

Anyone on for a car share from the CerocCentral region?

But I may still not be able to make it because it is my father's birthday around that time and it is his 65th. So it will depend a bit on when he decides to throw his big party. But there is at least a bit of hope :flower:

To be honest I think all Londoners would benefit from some lateral thinking re travel.

Go out to get in!!

Get out to the M25 and then off at junction 2 ......... straight into Greenwich.

Hardly any lights!

Average speed well above ?0 mph.

Only a couple of well signposted cameras.

Very Fast Route ... YOU KNOW IT MAKES SENSE!

We often get there from Worthing quicker than those who travel across London!:yeah:

Quote:
"H is for heroes Just like Tolkien's hobbits, the Pevensie children prove that little ordinary folk can do heroic deeds too. 'But we're not heroes,' protests Peter, setting up the film's best gag. 'We're from Finchley,' adds Susan."

(From http://film.guardian.co.uk/features/featurepages/0,,1657048,00.html)

Btw does anyone know if this is actually in the book?? (I didn't fully recognise the quote, and that is very rare for a Narnia quote )
Edit: HA!! I was right, it wasn't.

However, it appears that Bluebottle, one of my old mates the Goons also hails from Finchley...

Slinky's Greenwich has to be one of my favourite events and don't say this too loudly, could absorb a few more people.
Lovely variety of dance partners, locals and those who travel the length of England to dance.

Great space to dance in.

Good bar.

Two dance rooms with completely different moods.

Great tunes.

Relatively easy access from North London via the M25 (now how often can you say that?)

DJ wearing his second-best black T-Shirt.

Word of advice guys. If you, like me, are impatient and selfish about your dancing, then don't hang around da laydeez when they are preparing to go out. Which shoes? Which dress? Does my bum look big in this? No you are just saying that. Aren't you? Aren't you? Aren't you?

We love the result that such anguish and labour brings forth - we just don't need to be involved in the process - like child birth.

Thanks to Dan and Russell for putting on another great event.

Venue. great room, the floor upstairs was magic, the fans really helped both rooms.

Bar limited choice but adequate variety. not too expensive for London.

Slight grumble heard about "blues "room not playing "blues" all of the evening. My thoughts are that the room is wrongly described for what it wants to be.

Maybe "chill out room" "alternative room" "second room" would not build up a false expectation for punters.

Nice variety of music being played with all 3 djs giving it their best.
