Atmosphere is always really great, Bill & Bex do a fab job.
Music is usually pretty good, they sometimes have guest DJ's too.
Space - can get a little busy at times (I like to look at is as the venue is popular) but have always found the floorcraft of people there more than compensates.
Clientel - one of the good points, as most places there are varing standards but there always seems to be a more than sufficent amount of great dancers there as it is a regular haunt of some top couples. I always have fabulous dances whenever I'm at Twyford.

I'll probably be there - allthough I'm still a bit one armed.

NB: Bit of a dodgy arm? yikes... Do tell me when I dance with you... (You should be easy to pick out tho.... I'm expecting to see an angel, with wings and all, happily dancing away this Saturday.... :na: )

The last time I got back from a Hipsters Big Fat Friday Freestyle I posted how much I enjoyed the night and how great I thought John Bret's set was. (1 or 2 t's???)

Well, tonight - same goes

I had a really really good night tonight. I wasnt expecting to as a few beers last night and a lack of sleep should have meant I was Mr. Grumpy and that I wasn't going to enjoy it. How wrong i was!

In the past I have had a go at DJ's for their sets. The main criteria I use is that they play a varied mix to cater for as many people as possible. I dislike it when DJ's just fill their sets with stock tunes.
Tonight's set from JB was awesome :worthy: - again.

Ok, Im not going to say I liked all the tracks, thats pretty impossible but what I have a total respect for is the fact that he played something for everyone. We had everything tonight including some brand new tracks, tango, swing (west coast and lindy speeds), a few core tunes which is fine, just loads of varied tracks. :worthy:

As for the night itself, it seems that they are increadibly popular. Absolutely jam packed it was. Lots of good dancers.

Of course a Paul F review wouldnt be a review without mentioning the bad points. However, these points are not particularly bad as its the success that leads to them:

- lots and lots of people. Before, say 12 oclock I was getting buffeted (and doing some buffeting) everywhere I danced. Down by the stage was a real hazard even when containing your dance moves.

- parking. I ended up having to park a good walk away from the venue. There is a big car park but its taken up , not only with dancers, but with the cars people going out round town and so on. Not one space.

- floor. Its never been the fastest of floors at Ealing. Even with my 'icier than ice' soles on I still found it quite slow. Hardly a bad point though. Just thought I would mention it.

All in all though a really good night. Thanks to Franco, JB and the team

Lots of snuggling and hugs goig down.

Lots of photos that will never make the forum.

Cheap wine.

Tea and hot-cross buns vicar.

Dale disappearing under the duvet.

People expecting some creative post but too tired to write anything original

This part of Norf London playing host to the sexiest babes on the Ceroc circuit - and the ladies are alright too.

I think Taz has avian bird flu given the sniffling that is going on.

Great tea from Fletch - good man substitute for her.

Don't expect this to make any sense at all wotsoever never.

Level 42 on the decks - Fletch's choice.

Well, when Taz and I eventually arrived at 11PM (Think I need a new job!) we found a rather packed Ealing! Despite this I had a fantastic night, with some lovely dances!

The only downside to the evening was my rather bad choice of attire! I started each dance with a knee length dress and ended it with a dress just about covering my bottom!

The after dance party at WB's was/is superb, what a great group of people!

Looking forward to Daventry tomorrow, should be a good one!

Thanks to everyone I danced with and sorry to those I missed!

And who noticed that idiot at the back? he spent the whole night, move after move of dropping girls heads to the floor

Anyway, the fun parts...

It was nice to meet Allez-cat for the first time, thanks for the lovely dance and sorry about the slightly over enthusiastic spin of mine! :na:

You lot are always good fun!

And lastly, Kev was as entertaining as ever :D and developed some 'interesting new moves'  The was one where he leaned forward, assuming a ski jumper position :what:

p.s. as we left, ZW was busy preparing the next round of the sorting hat! :respect:

Yes I was standing at the edge of the floor and very nearly got kicked in the teeth  . That guy had thrown a woman into a half moon without checking behind him first. A 'half moon' at a BFFF???? . What was he on??? Obviously he has a very small .......

Apart from that and about 3 other injuries I had a really good night. JB played had a really mixed crowd of WCS MJ Lindy Tango dancers, I think he did a really good job of covering all the bases and played some cool new tracks too (I noticed ).

In fact, it was so good I didn't even think about going down to do salsa. Lots of people slipped throught the net too, sorry... hope catch up tonight. :flower:

It was lovely to see everyone but to be honest, i can't enjoy dancing when it's that crowded  I'm wondering if it's just me, do I need more room to dance than the average person

Nope, not just you, I can't stand crowded conditions, it just ruins the flow if I'm constantly being bumped and knocked.

Have to agree with ZW on this one... I have some rather nasty bruises on my feet and on my arm.. it was bit like a battlefield at times and found it hard to relax until late on in the night, whereby it cleared a little...

Had some smashing dances with the usual boys (and they treated me very well.. thankyou chaps..:flower: :flower:  )

The maniac ZW mentioned was a bit of an animal.. one dance with him and I decided that I wouldnt go near him again   Poor bloke.. I imagine he thought he was doing ok... scared the pants off me...

Went to Twyford last night and had one of my best nights dancing in a long time - and not one kick, knock or bruise.

Except for a certain gentleman, (who I will not embarrass on the forum) who I was not dancing with at the time managed to try a 'foot displacemt' on me.............. His pennance was having to dance with me later.:D

I had a lovely evening only marred by the fact that I didn't get to dance with Mr. Bowker :worthy: :worthy: :tears: :tears:

WOW....what a lovely evening I had in Daventry last night.....

Didnt make it to the end, (knee's packed up on me, and old age caught up  ....), but throughout the evening LOADS OF SPACE to dance, no injuries, great music..... Marc especially..:respect: :respect: love that guy!! Terrific dancers/dances with all the lovely Forumites and many with the usual crowd, far too many to name, but absolutely lovely (managed to catch up with lots of my favourite guys....

Fabulous Caberet, which had me gasping for breath.. and I was just watching..!!! AMAZIN' :respect: :respect: Well Done Emma and Crew for having them on board...:flower:

Total :respect: to Taz on her dare.. well done babe :worthy: :worthy: My hats off to you :respect: :respect:

ALWAYS a joy to spend time with all the smashing lads n lasses on the Forum. These days, the nights dancing is ALWAYS enhanced by the company. Thats what makes this FORUM work for me.. never a bad night. If the dancing goes 'tits up', the conversation always makes up for it.:flower:

For me, a much better night than Friday at Ealing.. not once did I worry about being 'Damaged on the Dancefloor',

*off now to collapse on the nearest sofa and have a relaxing end to my weekend..*
