Ok its nearly friday so what words /phrases are most said/repeated at a standard ceroc/jive night.

To qualify at least 5 other forumites must have heard of the phrase /sentence being mentioned at a ceroc/jive night at least 10 times in the last 4 months.

Ceroc is the only place I've heard those immortal words "it doesn't matter which foot".

Top 10 place ? Ive heard it a fair few times at ceroc, but not when putting on a Wellington boot , so agree that one.

not as many times as "put your hand on her WAIST! Its lower down!!"

Top 100 ? Not heard it regulary

I think 'Its a male led dance' use to be in the top 10 now i think top 50 ??

The top one for me is

'Have we any announcements' :yeah:

how about 'yeah, I only come here to pull'

quite common ;)

Apparently the most used word when communicating.

I thought it was "Rucksack"?*

Of course, this begs this question - whats the most used word when NOT communicating?
"Aaaargh!" ? hmm I suppose thats still communicating pain or distress. :)

'Well, actually it is.'

I have to keep saying this because a lot of people ask me 'this is not Ceroc, is it?' Last time that happened in Melbourne last year. :D

Somehow I need to find a way to make it more obvious, or do I not? Nah

I used to be chatty and smile-y during dances, but over the past few months I've almost stopped saying anything, and I've also adopted a much more serious expression - I think it's the tango influence coming out.

I also never know what do say when people ask me "Where do you normally dance?" - I don't really have a "normal dance" venue, haven't really had for years now :tears:

That's the first thing that goes through my mind! Especially when dancing with someone who does a lot of arm yanking or has hands like a vice.

Drive half an hour to Stevenage instead of half an hour to Ashtons - 14 women over in intermediates last night and another 10 or so sat out, even after every man was persuaded to join in :(

I decided to lead. Wonder if I will remember any of it

DJ is Jon Brett  - the music is fantastic :waycool: (although he does tend to restrain himself in the early part of the evening  - as there are quite a few beginners). I would say the average standard is similar to Chesham as I remember it.
