Is it my imagination or has the speed of the music preffered in a S & B room got progressively slower?
Looking through some old playlists would tend to support this. Is is maybe that the ratio of swing to blues has changed.
Having said that I was caught on the hop at Bookham last Saturday when a group of Balboa dancers came in and asked for 200 to 300 beats per minute! Needless to say I did accomodate them with a few.A difficult balancing act!, followed in "the clear up time" with about half an hour all to themselves , very frenetic but good to watch.
