Thanks for all your lovely birthday wishes, I've had one of my best birthdays ever.

As you can read on my blog, it started the best way imaginable – dancing!

I got lots of birthday kisses which I'm still savouring, plus a manly hug from killingtime, which I'm hoping I'll forget. :wink:

The rest of the day hasn't been too bad either. Just home from a night out with some pals, who got me amongst other things a Tango CD as present. They know me so well. :rofl:

To answer CeeCee's question, what's it like having a birthday so soon after Christmas, I'd say it's a bit mixed. It makes the greatest impact when you're a child as there is a tendency to get one present rather than two from some people, but occasionally it's been good as I've been able to get a bigger present as a result.

The main thing is that organising any sort of birthday celebration is very difficult. So much else is happening that its hard to get people to commit to anything at this time of year.

For this reason, it has to be said that the party last night at the Henry Wall Hall was one of the best birthday parties I've ever had.


I'm especially grateful for all the birthday wishes from the folks I have never met, or maybe only met once or twice, and I hope to see and maybe dance with you all soon in 2006. :flower:

(I changed my avatar at about 6am this morning, and will change it back to one of my old favourites in a wee minute. Can't guarantee how long I'll keep it – smilies and avatars I like collecting... ;))
