View Full Version : How do you define a Rep Tart ? or Rep Stud

stewart38
29th-December-2005, 04:46 PM
Ok this is a pre end of year Joke nice thread. No nastiness. No names

Whether your a rep tart (woman) or Rep stud (man).

What makes someone a rep Tart/Stud ?

Asking friends to Rep you

Lying to get rep

Starting stupid threads like this in the hope of getting rep

Repping a lot of people hoping to get some back

Ps the first 3 people to respond get 5 points each of Rep

Unless they ask not to

I’ve deliberately made the tart/stud bit a gender bias issue however that’s for the politicians to sort out (Most people get rep for talking crap ?)

What's rep??

(And do I get mine now? :flower: )

I would say that if you mention rep in a posting or an email or verbally to other forumites then you can probably be proud to call yourself a rep tart.

But, heck, I don't have a problem with that at all - I seem to have a soft spot for such people :flower:

(but maybe that's cos I aim to become one one day  Or have I done any of the above already?? Possibly  )

One more can get a free 5 points unless they ask not too

Are there no more morals left ?

Is that + or - rep

TiggsTours

No, seriously, I don't understand! Whenever I've given rep (not very often, I'm afraid) it just has space for a comment, not a number of points, and if you've just given me 5, how come I'm, still on 283, just as I was before? It just doesn't make any sense!

I said the first 3 that posted could get 5 points each unless they said they didnt want any. So they have gone in the first day of the sale  Like shoe size 10s at M&S sale

I could do a January Sale in December and extend it to the first 10 ?

do you want -ve rep or +ve rep

I assume if your indifferent to rep -ve or +ve wouldnt make much difference

Maybe we should have a rep sale and all get to 1000 points by year end :yeah:

When someone gives you Rep you get the amount of points equivalent to their power. Stewart has Power 5 which is why you'll get 5 points.

Are you saying you were not on 278 before I rep you. your saying my repping you didnt give you 5 points extra points ??

Maybe you rep counting isnt working

Try repping me to make sure it is

I always wondered why such a lovely person such as yourself didnt have a higher score :flower: :worthy:

Stewart38 (then known as stewart85  ) won a suprised landslide victory over 'Andy Ash I like cigar smoke the best' in a campaign which was to rid the lands of smoking for ever. Andy Ash had been a secret 60 a day man despite running a similar campaign over a number of decades

He put the last smokers on the last remaining ice berg which due to global warming is floating somewhere deep in the South Antartic ocean

As the ice melts they sink beneath the waves and we all wave good bye.

he gave a few hundred smoking patches for those who wanted to re deem. They could live for 5yrs (without smoking of course) on the Falkland Islands then be allowed 'home'

You have handed out too many reputations in the last 24hours. ... Now that it's safe to post in this thread...

I'd say that either asking for rep or mentioning rep you're giving makes you a bit of a rep tart. These are two things I try not to do. (Only say "try", as after 2000+ posts, it's hard to remember them all!)

I've occasionally offered rep, though strangely I'm rarely taken up on the offer.

OK, that Freudian slap deserves serious reppage

What do the 'power' point mean?

The FAQ (http://www.cerocscotland.com/forum/showthread.php?t=3458#giverep) tells all, rep, power, etc.

The only additions I'd say are:
1. You can't rep the same person twice in a row, you need to "spread it around a bit" first
2. You can only give rep points a maximum of 10 times a day
3. If you get a rep with no points (grey coloured), it means it's from someone who wants to comment on your post, but who can't assign rep points because they're constrained by Condition 1, 2, or both.

And every 250 Reps you receive you get another power point. Power points are the amount of points "you" give to the person you are repping. You also get 1 power point anually from the date you started. I only knew all this a few months ago when i made a new thread in the Tech section to find out what all this means. You can imagine my supprise at all the reps id had and not even known about, was nice to see

The giving and receiving of rep is all great fun but what if the rep receiver doesn’t know the identity of the rep giver because the rep giver hasn’t given their name at the end of the rep giving. The rep receiver would love to show their appreciation by thanking the kind, thoughtful, generous rep giver but as the rep giver has remained anonymous the rep receiver can’t.

Presumably it's a system configurable option - configurable by Franck that is...
