Hope to be there if my back is up to it (got yanked :( )

If anyone wants to do a "I'll save a tree and not send you a card and you don't have to send me one" deal then I'm up for it... OK, that's mainly because I'm cr@p and disorganised.

Help !

I have just arrived home to discover to my horror that my recently fixed DVD recorder wasn't fixed at all,  and it has failed to record the SCD final...:tears: :tears: :tears:

Does anyone have a recording that they could lend me at the T jive? I would be most grateful. I can return it the next night at the Jango Panto. Or I could borrow it at Jango and return it at Twyford.

Thanks

Pooo ...... i was actually thinking of coming to this one but i'm going to a panto this afternoon (Alladin) so won't be able to ... Oh no he's not ... Oh yes i am ...

Bad taste X-rated joke :

Micheal Jackson to wife (can't remember her name): What do you want to do this evening?
Wife: Can we stay in tonight and maybe just get a video from Blockbusters?
Micheal: Can we get "Alladin"?
Wife: Ok, if you must. But THEN can we get a video!!!

The ratio of men and women was a great advantage as I got to dance with every man on the floor without the pressure of stalking them. The cakes were delicious (Thanks to Katie and Sarah :flower: :worthy: :worthy: :worthy: ) and the room was the normal setting of being informal and cosy.

Definately the best TJive i've been to. The music was spot on. Well done Marc:worthy: It was a pretty even ratio men to women which mean't i didn't stop dancing without having to ask many men. Pretty much the perfect sunday afternoon for me.:D

It's only difficult to find the first time - you'll remember for the next.

I had a really great afternoon, and, aside from the brilliant music :flower:, I wanted to thank Simon & Nicole and Simon & Cruella for about 8 minutes of fabulous cabaret dancing! :worthy: :worthy:

Yeah, as I said on the day...That was my favourite set so far, and that is really saying something. Very well done Marc.

The postioning of the tracks and blending was awesome , sometimes the guitar of one track would fade into the guitar of the next track, different but
beautifully related to each other. It was a real ear-opener :worthy: .

Well worth the nightmare journey. Ready to leave MK at 12.30 , arrived Kent House 3.30PM (via the A1M). :tears:

I took some cake to my table but I completely forgot to eat it, I got lost in the music. Sorry  .

I have to admit to be 'slightly' worried when I first arrived.... NO DJ and only 2 men!  but somehow, suddenly, it all fell into place, and the man/lady ratio was pretty much spot on AND IMO the perfect number of people for the venue.

I think I pretty much got to dance with 'everyone' too (appologies if there was anyone I did miss? :flower: )

After, a few of us (11?) went for the quickest Thai meal ever..(Wow, they were QUICK :worthy: and it was yummy! :na: ) then on to Berko to 'do the double' where we were treated to yet another sublime set from Marc!   :worthy:

TOP TIP:

Why not practise the driving route every Monday night, and stay for the Jango session? By next month's T Jive your body will naturally drive your car there.

I'm sure some lovely forumites will meet you there so you don't get lost. (oh, and tie your gloves together with a piece of string run through your sleeves so you don't lose those either  )

Does anyone know what date(s?) will have Sunday T-Jives in March?
On one part of the Jango.co.uk website it says:
Sunday T-Jive & Jango Workshop Combo!
Jan 29th, Feb 26th, March 19th, Apr 23rd
but a bit further down the same page it says:
Last Sunday of every month, starting 2006: Jan 29th, Feb 26th, Mar 26th, Apr 30th etcSo is it March 19th or 26th (or both or neither)? Or am I missing something (quite likely)?

Just noticed the same question applies to April as well.

Bex
17th-February-2006, 05:25 PM
I think there's a T-Jive on both, the 19th at Winchester Hall and 26th at Kent House.

That is confusing, in'it. Here is the deal:

26th Feb...............Jango Workshop and T-Jive at Winchester Hall
19th March............Jango Workshop and T-Jive at Winchester Hall
26th March............T-Jive at Kent House
23rd April...............Jango Workshop and T-Jive at Winchester Hall

Workshops start at 12pm. (Booking required).
T-Jives start at 3pm. No booking required.

The T-Jive on the 30th of April has moved to the 23rd because of the Ceroc Champs.

Its all a bit complicated at the moment, but so are most great things in life.

One thing I would say, living very near the place as I do, and using it for comp practice, is that it can sometimes be an absolute sod to park near.

Parking is free on Sundays in the streets around it, and it's always possible to find a slot somewhere - but with a horde of jangoistas converging there you might need to walk a block or two.

So leave a little extra time if you don't want to be late.

Maybe it's one of those easy going places where we'll just carry on till we're exhausted...
