Hello,

Who's going to this (stupid question, everybody, surely!).

My stupid work have got their stupid Christmas do that night, so I'm not sure if I can go. :tears:

I was kinda hoping that, if I got the train there, there may be a kind soul travelling back in the direction of Harrow, who might possibly be able to drop me off at home? I would be forever in their debt (or at least until I got the opportunity to repay the favour!)

Ditto.... In fact I know I can't go. I hate missing ashtons on a friday !

Although it will give me the chance to wear my fab new dress (which I have to wear very high heels with, and in which I can't possibly dance).... every cloud has a silver lining

I'm thinking of going to this, but will sit on the fence till i see who else is going! With the double on sunday (TJive and Berkhampsted) and demoing on the monday in Nottingham it's going to take a lot of me being nice to hubby to get a pass for Ashtons too.

Your dedication to MJ and the pursuit of a good dance night never ceases to amaze me;and I realise you are one of many.
I just checked on a map to see your journeys over the 4 days that you mention.
A journey of 26 miles along the A11 to Thetford to DJ for a freestyle night seems like an epic expedition to me!!

It's called addiction, stupidity, passion, take your pick. It seems all the madder when i have around 30 venues within an hour from me! But after so many years of MJ i find it increasingly difficult to find a freestyle satisfying so i like to go somewhere different. Variety is the spice of life!

I sometimes have to question whether my committment to MJ is as strong as iI think it is when Cruella posts this-

...It seems all the madder when i have around 30 venues within an hour from me!....

Even if I had that many to chose from I would think twice before travelling an hour to go dancing.Although if the music and the quality of dancers is as you and others on the forum suggest then perhaps I might.

Addiction,passion.Yes.Stupidity? Nah.

You are also very lucky that you obviously have a very caring and understanding husband who derserves a lot of credit. Good on ya mate.

But he also understands how miserable i would be if i didn't get my fix every weekend (it's his self preservation methinks!) For years the roles were reversed as he used to be out 2-3 times a week playing badminton. Next year he is going to do a 350 mile walk across the North Pole which means he'll be away for a month. So as you can see it works both ways.:)

Hammersmith was "officially" supposed to be a 70's theme night, apparently. Of course, it kind of helps if the organisers, you know, tell people about any themes in advance.

I'll be wearing extra black on my T-shirt, that's my concession to the party season.

NEWS REPORT - Attempt to bust the Ashtons Six

Galtymore Dancehall, Cricklewood. The antics of the Ashtons Six and their owners has been widely documented before so there is no need to repeat them (I'm sure someone else will do it for us anyway).

Last night however, the Ashtons Six were campaigning even more vigorously than usual for their release. Four of the six were within millimetres of freedom but the planned jail break was foiled thanks to clever beading and fluffy fur. Perving and sleazing collabourators did their upmost by jiggling and bouncing but the six were firmly trussed up with no chance of coming out to play.

Another, more disturbing display of their skimpily covered backsides was forced upon the unsuspecting and innocent dancers attending the event, counselling will be made available for those that have been traumatised by witnessing such horror.

Incriminating evidence will be submitted by S38 and they will be accompanied by a disclaimer about their content.

Ok some long awaited pics

Please note given the recent restriction on ladies frontal shots some insist now of having only rear shots ,which the camera man is happy to go along with ?? Some of course are happy to take it both ways ?

One lady now seems more keen to have it from the rear (a picture) can you spot the difference in two pics ??

I had a lovely evening.:D Lovely to meet some forumites, Dee, Missy Dee and catch up with others.

I invited a friend along who had been to one class 2 years ago, we went over a few basic moves at the edge, then he had a go on the dance floor! He really enjoyed himself and will hopefully start going along to a regular venue. It was really nice to watch someone discover the fun of dancing!

Ive never seen a guy be so horrible and he knew some moves so he must have been taught somewhere

Again its down the women and if 3 or 4 people knew he was really bad groper why not say something ??

I would of said something but it was right at the end of the evening and i didn't see anyone i could of reported it to, i wasn't aware i could of told Bob otherwise i would of. Lets just hope it never happens again, but if it does i will be the first to report it.
