An Important Note To All.
Lory in unable to post immediately as her daughter,Holly, has been involved in a serious car accident over the weekend. Holly is doing well and has now returned from hospital. We all wish her a speedy recovery.
(Holly must be Princess Lory, if Lory is Queen Lory)
Lots and lots of love and gentle hugs from the Queens humble "servants"

Thinking of you Holly - hope you are not in too much pain

I spoke to Lorraine this morning. Holly is out of hospital and staying at her uncles house, and Lorraine is driving up there today to bring her home.

She had an extremely lucky escape, and although in a lot of pain, and much bruising and swelling everywhere, she will recover.

Lorraine is still very shaken up.

Lorraine phoned me this morning, and asked me to pass on her thanks to you for all your good wishes... It has meant a tremendous amount to her and Holly!

She is currently in Leeds with Holly. Holly looks awful (blackeyes, swollen bruised etc), but she is walking, nothing is broken, and everything will go down/get better in time.

What happened was that a foreign driver was driving exceedingly fast the wrong way down a dual carriageway, and despite Hollys attempts to avoid him, he crashed into them. Holly's passenger has facial injuries from the windscreen glass, which luckily Holly hasn't, but they were both saved by the airbags in the car essentially, and by the prompt arrival of the emergency services - as the car had caught on fire and they weren't able to get out....

So pleased everything is going to be okay.:flower:

God bless the inventor of airbags eh!

Hi all

Firstly I would like to say a big thank you on behalf of Holly, Steve and myself, for all the lovely messages, pm's and texts of support, they've been a fantastic moral booster!

We drove up to Leeds yesterday and all stayed with my brother last night, then today, we visited the scene and went to retrieve what we could from her car and now we've brought her home for a few days of much needed TLC.;)

The circumstances of the accidence are extremely odd, to say the least. I can't for the life of me see what the man had in his head, unless he was actually trying to kill them!

They really ARE lucky to be alive!

Although Holly looks like her face has been blown up with a bicycle pump and the colours are changing by the hour and she's suffering with a whiplash and general aches and pains, now i've seen her, i'm quite reassured that there's nothing that wont heal completely within a few weeks.

The car on the other hand, appears to be a write off.:tears:

A special thanks to Kevin for putting up with me having a few minor breakdowns, on the car journey back from Camber.. your a star!:worthy:

Holly said a special thanks to everyone too and she doesn't mind me posting a pic of her, as long as I post one of what she looks like normally too

Missed this before. Sorry, just easing myself back in gently...

Was wondering where you'd gotten to at Camber.

So glad to hear that Holly has come out of it with no lasting problems. All the best for a full, speedy recovery :flower:

Just caught up on the rest of this thread just now.

It's amazing to know what Holly has gone through, and thank goodness she's lived to tell the tale. How is she now? Have the bruises gone yet?

Big hugs to you all, you must have been to hell and back.

Just come across this thread and had no idea what had happened. Poor Holly, you have had a rough time and poor Lory, what an awful shock for you.

I hope your injuries heal quicky Holly....you will be as lovely as ever once the bruises go. Thank goodness you escaped as well as you did.

Take care and look forward to a fabulous Xmas.
