Hi,
I have "wandered" into an Apple store.
I have just played with the maligned iPod nano. That single wheel navigation is so easy to use, so precise, so smooth. Makes the buttons on my iRiver player look ludicrous.
I am typing this on a Power Mac G5 thingy. Beautiful clear but "soft" image on the screen. And the navigation bar at the bottom - when you move the curor over the bar the bar increases in size and further when you move the cursor over an icon it increase in size. So what? It means you get more effect usable screen space, your navigation to icons becomes more precise and it makes you laugh out loud in an Apple store. Want one, need one .

Got my little iBook and I love it :D. I also have an iPod Shuffle; though I'd love a Nano.

Well, yeah. But iPhoto is pants. Apple really need to pay as much attention to it as they do to iTunes.

Or there is that new Aperture (http://www.apple.com/aperture/) thing but it's a Pro aimed package and it isn't cheap.

Azande might say - forget going to Windows 2k/XP and go to Mac OS X. I think Ipod & iTunes works with OS X

and you could always buy a Mac Mini (http://www.apple.com/uk/macmini/) and keep the monitor and peripherals you already have.
