After all the upheaval trying to confirm a venue in Glasgow, I have finally managed to book the Glasgow University Union for Saturday 15th February.

As this is Valentine Week-end, we are having a Romantic theme evening, with Free Sparkling wine and chocolates + of course a fun class and dancing until 1.00am

To sum up the details:

Date: Saturday 15th February.
Time: 8.00pm 'til 1.00am
Location: Glasgow University Union, 32 University Avenue.

Franck.

Unless you're visualizing a sea of white naval uniforms  being very romantic?

Found it (& my mistake...) The forum calendar says that the Aberdeen party theme is "White". I assume that you're no longer doing that?

mmmm How come we haven't got a "drool" smilie yet??

Re. the Aberdeen party, there was going to be a theme (white) initially, but on second thoughts, I changed my mind, so no theme, just wear your 'best' dancing gear :nice:

You'll have to ask Franck....

Only he can do that.

Pleased to be of service :D

PS. Oh, that's scary. I see that I've finally caught you up Franck!! (Had to edit this, not sure that I'm mentally prepared to post again, and become the most talkative person on this forum)

(Had to edit this, not sure that I'm mentally prepared to post again, and become the most talkative person on this forum) Well, I put up a good fight, but in the end I know when to admit defeat... There was no way I could fight a tidal wave of posts coming from you... :nice:

I hope you realise that there are responsibilities attached to being the 'top poster' on the forum!

Franck.

TheTramp
28th-January-2003, 11:08 AM
Hmmm. And what might those responsibilities be then??

Please tell me while I'm still only joint top poster!

I might have to retire :D

I might have to retire :D That is the harsh reality indeed...

For a while, it looked like Gus had ambitions to become the 'top poster', but after I told him about the responsibilities / pressures that came with the position, he gracefully retired

Franck.

Anyway, we are veering so far off-topic, that both of us are failing :nice:
I assume you won't be back for the Glasgow Valentine Party as well???

TheTramp
28th-January-2003, 11:27 AM
Hmmm.....

So, threats (promises??), but no facts on what these said responsibilities actually entail.

Wish I could come up for the Glasgow Valentine Party. Guess it'll depend on what offers I get :D

One of the tasks you will have to complete will be to have read every single post since the start of the Forum.
Look at this task as the long harduous (and occasionally entertaining) path to enlightenment!

Franck.

TheTramp

Well, I think I've read most of them. Except the boring ones :D

But, I think I've now made the leap, and taken over the top poster thing.

Scary eh!!!

Well, don't worry Franck.

You know that in about a week, I'll have got bored of it, and will have changed it to something else....

I don't want to sound stupid here, but I keep wondering what B.T.W.U. stand for.
Could you enlighten me Steve?

Could you enlighten me Steve? Old reference to another poster referred to as B.T.C. (Better Than Chocolate)... :nice:

Steve decided to then be known as BTWU (Better Than Washing Up)...

Thanks

It has had me confused for a while.

TheTramp
28th-January-2003, 12:19 PM
Yeah. It was suggested that one day I might aspire to also becoming BTC. I felt that I couldn't possibly even think to aspire to such lofty heights, and that it would be more reasonable to set myself achievable goals.

BTWU seemed something reasonable at the time.

Although, Wendy from Glasgow suggested last week that I might be BTS.

I'm sure that being Better than Slugs isn't really anything to be proud of though :D
