Did anybody watch GMTV this morning i just had an email from a friend of mine who said " I saw on GMTV today, a guy who can't get a woman (called Robin) and he hasn't had a date in ages. He said his main hobby is Ceroc dancing.......Hmmmmmm ! "

Just wondered if anyone had seen this but also wondered if that is standard and if other people had problems dating? :D

Dating would get in the way of dancing four or five times a week.

There do seem to be some guys (girls as well I'm sure, but I don't dance with them so I can't comment) who do start out in Ceroc to "pull". Some start to enjoy the dancing for its own sake and relax, which is great :). Unfortunately some don't. I can think of at least three guys that I actively avoid, because I'm happy to dance with them and tell 'em my name, but THAT IS IT - I don't want to discuss details of my day in the office, or any other personal information with them, I'm there to dance. I'm sure they are perfectly nice guys - but it is obvious that their main interest is not the dancing (which I guess is why none of them are 'regulars' on here) and I just don't have any interest in *them* apart from dancing. Sorry guys, luckily there's usually more women at venues, sure you can find someone nicer than me.

Blimey, I hope no-one tells Tezi.

I've said it before, I'll say it again - how can any situation that puts you in (relatively or absolutely) intimate contact with dozens of members of the opposite sex, every night, be detrimental to dating?

I'll admit there's more chance of socialising generally if there's an after-dance bar, but apart from that, what more do you need - written instructions or something?

Hell, now I know why... :tears:

I didnt mean it like that! I meant when I started dancing all those many weeks ago I did it purely because it inspired me I loved going to classes and also to the freestyles (once i got confidence) and couldnt and still dont think of anything else. But I was wondering if it made you perhaps selfish, in a way no one gets in the way of my dancing, some people dont even think of it as a way to slag about I certainly don't, but maybe it stops you from meeting Non Dancers???

, a guy who can't get a woman (called Robin)
there aren't actually that many women called Robin, well there was the sickly one in the Chalet School but that wasn't her real name and she became a nun anyway, so maybe if he broadened his requirements a little to a woman with a name beginning with R he might have a bit more luck???
