Anyone know of a good source of plums or greengages in SE England?

Really looking for one of those pick-your-own farmer's door-step kind of operations.

Then we could saunter out and pick whatever is in season....FABULOUS!!

Mmmm .. they are delicious.

We went blackberry picking today - on the public path alongside the Nothern Line. Poor crop because it has been too dry this year but nice flavour.

We picked some sloes also. I learned that when you have drunk your sloe gin just fill the bottle up with dry cider. Couple of days later - fabulous.

I'm going to wash and freeze the plums tonight. It'll be fine for jam making. I need to get the pectin and rustle up some jam jars - I might have some in the garage. Thank goodness for the overnight wash in the dishwasher before the sterilising.

I'll make a plum and something crumble tomorrow night though. Do you want one too while I'm at it? Comfort food.

Clive

EDIT: I have got a few gallons of wine to syphon. Anyone want to help? My oh my.
