...is performing at Sadlers Wells theatre (www.sadlerswells.com) on Sunday October 30. Despite the date not being mentioned on their web site tour dates, tickets look about 3/4 sold (and thanks to Rhythm King for spotting the teeny ad for PM in Time Out).

My absolute favourite band/group of artists.

'Somewhere between a 1930s Cuban dance orchestra, a classical chamber music ensemble, a Brasilian marching street band and Japanese film noir is the 12-piece Pink Martini.'

I always have space for PM in my sets - and live they are truely fabulous
11 cool dudes suited and booted and then fronted by the gorgeous China Forbes. Spectacular.

Sell your kids to see these guys live!!!

:yeah: If you aren't convinced by this, you can listen to an interview and live music here (http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=4764792) ... find out how they met, why they live where they do and how they got one of their tracks on a Citroen ad.

Did anyone see Pink Martini on GMTV this morning? Truly fabulous . It was very strange to hear the music from a non-dancer point of view (ie. the presenters).

The new single is great too (and I feel a bit WCS  )

Pity I can't get down to see them again. I took Fran to see them last year when they played Edinburgh and took her on a surprise weekend trip to London which meant (as I was already there) she had to open a series of envelopes telling her which flight she was catching - when she got to the airport - and then which tube to take and then finally where I'd meet her.

We were in our seats and waiting for PM too come on before she realised who were going to see. And of course they were absolutley wonderful. A great weekend :D

The new single is great too (and I feel a bit WCS  )Is that Hey Eugene? Got the album (of the same name) on Tues - some nice stuff - and that track sounds suitable for WCS.
