Probably better in Fun and Games but I figured he's more likely to see it if I put it here:

http://www.venganza.org/piratesarecool.jpg

Read the article that explains it here (http://www.venganza.org).

I've seen that one! I've participated in Talk Like A Pirate Day for the past 2 years. I wonder what day of the week it falls on this year... swashbuckling pants, I think.

And I'll wear my 'plunder bunny' top.

Yes, but what's your pirate name (http://www.jengajam.com/r/Pirate-Name-Test)?

Be afraid of

Dirty Anne (New?)Kidd
You're the pirate everyone else wants to throw in the ocean -- not to get rid of you, you understand; just to get rid of the smell. Even though you're not always the traditional swaggering gallant, your steadiness and planning make you a fine, reliable pirate. Arr!

You are The Cap'n!

Some men are born great, some achieve greatness and some slit the throats of any man that stands between them and the mantle of power. You never met a man you couldn't eviscerate. Not that mindless violence is the only avenue open to you - but why take an avenue when you have complete freeway access? You are the definitive Man of Action. You are James Bond in a blousy shirt and drawstring-fly pants. Your swash was buckled long ago and you have never been so sure of anything in your life as in your ability to bend everyone to your will. You will call anyone out and cut off their head if they show any sign of taking you on or backing down. You cannot be saddled with tedious underlings, but if one of your lieutenants shows an overly developed sense of ambition he may find more suitable accommodations in Davy Jones' locker. That is, of course, IF you notice him. You tend to be self absorbed - a weakness that may keep you from seeing enemies where they are and imagining them where they are not.

Though if Rhythm King is very good, I might allow him to be Piratical Grand Vizier in the court of the Pirate Queen (which would be ME).

Ye do not BUY buried treasure. Ye plunder it from unsuspecting naval wenches, my girl. Or ye go down Portobello Road because they might have some (But I don't know- not being a jewellery person I don't tend to notice where it's sold).

Depending on what you're looking for, there are two or three vintage/retro clothing shops on Upper St Martin's Lane, the Holborn end. They do jewellery of various different periods.

Of course, then you can walk down to the bottom of St Martin's Lane and pop into Freeds, for some sparkly new dance shoes
