Picture any of the following ..

Picnics
Strawberry's and cream,
Champagne cocktails,
Pimms,
BBQ's
Paddling pools,
tickling someone's feet with long reeds of grass
Dogs jumping in and out of streams
Drinking cold beer in a pub next to a river

So, what tunes would you choose, to encapsulate that Summer feeling??

My first would be Summer breeze - Isley Brothers

I think that this situation always calls for Summertime by Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince

Personally, I always find the Benny Hill theme tune is... oh, you were being serious.

Hmm... for some reason, "Wake Up Boo" by the Boo Radleys always says summer to me. Probably because it was the song of my first Big Summer (just finished GCSEs).

Also: "All I Need" Air

I just heard the remix of that 80's "Ain't no stopping us" tune (DJ Luck version? I dunno...)

It's really up-beat, brings back memories, ahh.... FANTASTIC for summer.

Pity summer was yesterday :tears:

For chillin' in the pool with a glass of Pimms while the BBQ smokes away quietly, my 'Hot hot hot' playlist would include:

Summertime
Quando (Buble)
Moonflower
Corazon Espinado
La Luna
Perfidia
Las Ruinas En Mi Mente
Oyeme
Love For Sale (Eartha Kit)
Make Me Sweat
Sous Le Soleil
Easy Tiger
Montserrat
Chan Chan
De Camino A La Vereda
Tango Te Avora

and any Pink Martini I fancy

That's this evening organised then

Of course the Gypsy Kings are most welcome. :D I have a cool medley of Bamboleo, Volare and about 3 other songs. It has a stupendous break about 3 minutes in Oohhh lush...playing it now.

Shall we have a little bit of Palma Ham and Melon while we're waiting for the BBQ?

You've got windows set to US keyboard.

workaround: press the <#> key to get a £

solution: depends on what version of windows you have. It's generally under <Start><Control Panel><Regional and Language options>. Next - if XP - click on the <Languages> tab, then <Details>. Your Default input language should be English (United Kingdom) and the Installed Services should show <...English (United Kingdom>. If not, try clicking on the drop down menu buttons and see if you are given an English UK option, and install it.

If that fails, ask your nearest computer whizkid.
