Inspired by, well, yesterday lunchtime really...

 Best things:

SUN!
The, ahem, scenery
Having a nice big rug to sprawl out on

 Worst things

People playing kick-about - learn some ball control, guys
Someone talking VERY LOUDLY on their phone - especially with a Bluetooth headset.
Having to go back to work :tears:

Any others?

 Best things: Decent food (goodies from a local bakery, as I'm in Victoria and there are some KICK ASS bakeries near me)- preferably fresh and still hot. Yuuuuummmm.

Sun, yes, but not too much.

A nice clean bit of grass upon which to place your ground-covering.

 Worst things:

Topless sunbathers. Because it's always people you really don't want to look at who throw off their clothing at the first hint of warmth.

 BEST THINGS:

Sunshine - An absolute must!!!

A big patch of dry grass to laze in.

A big tree to nussle under and a good book!!! ;)

Being in St. James's Park in Central London to watch the birds.

 WORST THINGS:

Wet grass - nowhere to sit down.

When the park gets TOO crowded.

Best things

Beautiful park 5 mins from my house, with rolling meadows, rose gardens and lovely views

Working half days so can spend all afternoon there

Out of the city and big so can easily get out of earshot of anyone else (and find a private corner, if sharing my rug... )

My favourite tree to sit under, rug, picnic hamper and lovely views

Sunshine - of course!

The ice cream van near the children's play area

Worst things

Lack of sunny afternoons to enjoy it! :tears:

Someone else already sitting under my tree when I get there! (Have to then go to second favourite tree!)

Hey, lady, you have to CHOOSE- nuzzling or reading?
I know which I'd pick (if, y'know, I actually HAD anyone to nuzzle...)

I'm glad you don't go to St James's park. If I was anywhere near your corner, I wouldn't know WHERE to look. (Ignore me, just jealous I've never done anything like that myself).

Best thing:

Being surrounded by the newborn lambs that I can see from my desk during the rest of the day

Worst thing:

Sitting in lamb poo
