View Full Version : Dual SIM. Cheap calls to UK

Does anyone use those Dual-SIM adapters in their mobile phone? Are they reliable? Are they easy to use and install? The pictures show a ribbon cable dangling out of the phone which looks a bit worrying to me.

In the UK, I use SuperLine for cheap UK to elsewhere calls. How do I find equivalent services from elsewhere to UK when I am elsewhere (let elsewhere = France) - this is where the dual-SIM option comes into play.

I want to avoid the international roaming rip-off on a mobile. £1.50 a minute? I should co-co.

I was a little disappointed with mine.

It worked, but not in the manner that I hoped it would.

I was hoping that both sim cards could be active at the same time, so that texts and calls from either card would be recieved. However, with mine, I had to switch on and switch off in order to change between sim card.

Having said that, because of the connection, it did mean that installed cards could be switched around without removing the battery (and then having to set the time and date!!!! grrrrr!)

My phone was a 3330.

Hope this helps.

Cheers ... Ian
