View Full Version : Avatar suggestions?

David Bailey
27th-April-2005, 09:30 AM
To mark my 500th (!) post, I've finally forked over dosh to officially join as a Real User(TM). I'd like to have an avatar image to reflect my new respectable status :D

I'm was thinking a pair of trouser with TARDIS-logo'd pockets would be appropriate (http://www.cerocscotland.com/forum/showthread.php?t=5051) , but for some reason I can't find that image on the web (yes, I've looked), and my graphic design skills are, well, pants :). Also, there's the sensibilities of Trousers and SpinDr to consider...

So, any suggestions?

Avatar rules, only allowed a certain size. I had to crop him somewhere, and that was the best spot...

Just for some further background information. He plays for that 'other' Manchester team. You know, the one that no-one has heard of.

And he's known as 'Calamity James', because of the number of blatent, obvious and embarassing mistakes he makes....

And he's known as 'Calamity James', because of the number of blatent, obvious and embarassing mistakes he makes....To be fair though, his mistakes aren't as obvious when playing for Man City. They get lost amongst all the other mistakes the team make.

He's Englands Number One!

and he's Man City's Number One!

And his awesomeness has contributed to us once again confounding both the critics in the media and the footballing simpletons who frequent this forum and prevented us from being relegated yet again....

In fact, he is so good in the air, that I think the Ariels catagory at the Ceroc Champs should be named after him. i.e. People who enter the ariels catagory would be fighting for "The David James MCFC Ariels Trophy"

A marvellous roll model, and generous sportsman, and World Class Goal Keeper!

He could only play for City!

That is very cool.

The trouble is, I think I'll be confused with Simon (he of the other Spiderman avatar), and I wouldn't want to inflict that on him, he's done nothing to me to deserve that.

To mark my 500th (!) post
So this thread was started a little over six months ago, and in that time you have made over 2700 posts. And you still haven't decided on a more appropriate avatar. Let's get some priorities here please.

I do have a few suggestions. If any of them need some customising to suit your needs, let me know.
3601
I like the futility of this one. It reminds me of your arguments about competitions.
3602
This one reminds me of the regularity of your posting.

3603 If you can do without animation, this would get you a lot of sympathy rep.

3604 I have no idea what he is saying, but I love his expression.

And lastly....
3605
I have never seen you dance, but the wickedness of the cat's expression would seem to suit your sense of humour.

Here you go.

This is from the short "The Boat Builders". Mickey, Donald, and Goofy construct the ship "Queen Minnie" from folding component parts. When Minnie launches the ship by hitting it with a champagne bottle, she whacks it so hard that, once out at sea, it separates into its parts again.
