I found out a few weeks ago that Nik's (DS) of 'Nik and Fi' parents own the legendary serpentarium on the Isle of Skye. As a child the highlight of a visit to Skye was the trip to this reptile utopia and it still holds true to today. I returned from a week in Skye yesterday and once again the 'favourite bit' was holding a python (i think) named Goldie and also to discover the BEST chocolate cheesecake ever, made (i think) by Nik's parents, who i met in the coffee shop they've started up next door. Everyone loved it, I had to drag my enthused boyfriend from talking to the snakes (who are incidentally deaf!) and the centre! I'm sorry if everyone else knows this already but it's new to me! I also found it amusing that on my last trip to skye when i was 10 it was probably Nik (then we think 24) who showed us the snakes! Nik and Fi you've got to take your kid(s) there the minute he's/she's/they're born!
