According to this article (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/magazine/4335857.stm), the top 3 songs played at funerals are Frank Sinatra's My Way, Monty Python's Always Look on the Bright Side of Life and Angels by Robbie Williams.

Play Monty Python at my funeral? Over my dead body.

Oh.

Right. :innocent:

Seriously - what would be the song that would best reflect your life?

What about Soft Cell's 'Say Hello, Wave Goodbye' ( the 10" version) !!

or 'Going Underground' ????

I've chosen tracks for my funeral before but always forget which ones - or change my mind. SAHB's 'Next' maybe ??

I most definitely won't have "Call On Me" after all, what would be the point?

"Comfortably Numb", "The Only Way Is Up", or "Back To Life" are tempting, but there must be better than than...

Maybe it was "Murder On The Dancefloor?"

"shake Your Body" would do it, if only it was a better track!

And just in case anyone is eaten up by me departure, how about
"Live Close By Visit Often"

I heard something about this on the radio this morning. Apparently someone requested Elvis singing "Love me Tender" at their funeral. But they pushed the wrong button and played "Return to Sender".

This track is one of my all time faves and I thought it would be fun to have a funeral.

Strange coincidence - this thread- I've just been asked to sing at my boss's mother in laws funeral tomorrow. I've been asked to sing " You'll never walk alone" from the musical Carousel - apparently it was her favourite song!

I remember reading once that Russ Abbott's "What an Atmosphere" was a popular choice for funerals!
