Based on the silly '100 whatevers' on Channel 4 - what fav blunders / achievements MJ moments do you remember

I will start :-

Great Moment
Viktor / Lydia + Mick Wenger (I think) 'double trouble' or whatever it is called in a very old Ceroc Champs - it was amazing all three swapped around and both Lydia & Viktor did the splits

A fall
Sherif and Teresa (1996 I think) LeJive champs - poor Teresa tripped over herself and landed on her bum  Mind you they did come 2nd :worthy:

Just thought of another :-

The very first time we saw a David & Lily performance/cabaret :worthy: :worthy: :worthy: (another comp. LeJive again)

We had only knew them as MJ dancers who dance West Coast Swing before then :flower:

I'm not sure it's fair to dwell on the blunders - I'm sure the people involved would like to draw a veil (or scarf, even  ) over the past. But here are some of my favorite moments (in chronological order):

From the same year - Dan and Lisa's hip-hop showcase (+ disqualification  )

First time I saw David/Lily: The "James Bond" routine, with "the flip" move (way scarier than the doughnut if you ask me (or Bryony!)).

The Austin Powers team cabaret.

Derek winning the Ceroc Lucky Dip.

Not that I was there, but David/Lily getting a standing ovation from the Australians for their Heaven routine must have been an amazing moment.

Clayton/Janine's "It's not right, but it's OK" routine - absolutely awesome dancing...

Viktor/Carol winning Jive Masters

Wish I had the video of that year - not sure if they did one though - but they were an amazing threesome

Derek winning the Ceroc Lucky Dip.

Is Derek very tall? - Jen from Dundee (who's not at all tall  ), won the lucky dip in London and I'm sure the guy she danced with was called Derek. They just had a brilliant time and were very, very entertaining :D
(wasn't there but I've seen the video  )

When Nigel and Nina first broke onto the competition scene (LeJive 1997?) with their "Cats" routine, and instantly redefined the standards in MJ. (Also their freestyle competition dancing at the same event.)

Just seeing the half of the "Heaven" routine that David and Lily did at Rock Bottoms (Brighton, April 2004). People were in tears.

The musicality of Amir and Tas at the Jive Masters final 2003.

There are so many more great ones, but there is one particular disaster that springs to mind. I think it was 1996, LeJive competition at Hammersmith, where one of the most favoured couples were dancing in the advanced final (or whatever it was called in those days). There was this nasty ripping sound as the man was going into the splits. But it wasn't clothing that was ripping, it was hamstrings!! They had to abandon there and then.
