Do any Forumites fancy meeting up at the 100 Club on Oxford Street to see and dance to:

8-Piece R'nB & Swing Supremos -
BLUE HARLEM Led By AL NICHOLS & Featuring Vocialist - IMELDA CLABBY . Plus DJ - DES DE MOOR
Mem £9.00 Non-mem £12.00

I've arranged to go with some Muggle friends (while they still remember what I look like) but would love to have a dance too. I've always had a great time there on Saturday nights.

The alternative is Hammersmith Town Hall ...

Hi, a quick intro. I'm Nicky and run Dance Riviera in Kent. There's a crowd of us going too, we love Blue Harlem!

We'll have to see if we can identify each other on the night and have a dance :-)

Sounds good - at least different. I can't R&R or swing dance but I'm game for a laugh

You've sold the idea of 100 Club on that phrase alone.

I *like* Hammersmith Town Hall!

But after a run of Hammersmiths, Guinness, Nortel and so on, it's good to have a change. I'm sure there will be plenty of opportunities to get in some MJ too. Who wants to offer odds of seeing Henry the Hat there?

That's not really much of a bet - is it?

The band are fab, the singer excellent :worthy: I've seen them before, but will be at Rock Bottoms, so can't make it. My previous trips to Saturday nights at the 100 Club have been unusual in that the vast majority of punters have been muggles who just sit there, often smoking excessively, and listen to fantastic music that is screaming out to be danced to. Have these people got no soul?

:yeah: also there isn't much space for dancing on a Saturday :tears: but the band are really really fabby :worthy:

Not sure if you will be able to MJ to them well though, they tend to be a bit jazzy when they play at the 100 Club
