Have a look at this website that I found quite by chance (yeah, right...)

http://home.clara.net/spats

It appears to be an 'official' Ceroc Enterprises website but stuck somewhere back in 1999. Under latest news it lists the closing of the Central Club and the opening of a new venue - 'The Jive Bar!

There are also some short video clips, including James Cronin teaching, and Viktor doing the splits.

Enjoy!

Aren't the clips that are attributed to being Rob and Karmel actually Dan Baines and Lisa??

Did anyone notice that Nigel Anderson is on the list?

And, does anyone else notice the absence of a well known "Forum Bad Boy" who claims to be CTA qualified?

Is it possible to be a franchisee and not be CTA trained ??

Just noticed Annalisa Martin is not on the list however, not sure when the list of teachers were updated, however she has had quite a few venues (Ceroc Surrey) operating for quite a few years and has her photo splashed all over Ceroc literature and the new web page

Dear dear, we knew someone would find it one day... El salsero .. you've got far too much time on your hands.. anyway.. here is the story...

This is not an official Ceroc Website.. it was created by Lydia.. remember her..? Basically it was a small project of hers to get to get to grips with website design, I ofcause did the video Clips, and got all the names wrong, everything was new then and no one really knew who was who.

It was just done for fun and left on my personal webspace.. and obviously forgot about it...

Sorry guys.. I'll be taking it off-line in the next few weeks..

Keep dancing guys and enjoy...

Vik..

Hehehe - if you only knew.

This is not an official Ceroc Website..

I emailed the link through to Borg Central a few weeks ago and didn't get the courtesy of a reply. I expect they're all to busy weighing the tenners and ferrying them to the bank to engage in idle email chit-chat. (**)

it was created by Lydia.. remember her..?
Are you kidding? You and she teaching at the JB (right?) a few years back? It was mainly my pig-headed determination to work past her predilection for confusing the man's left and right hands that kept me coming back in those first difficult weeks. Along of course with the style of your and her dance and teaching. Sadly I was far too green to appreciate the finer points of your technique!

Vik..I think you should definitely archive it safely, for posterity.

(**) Only kidding guys. I know what long hours you all put in - because if programming the Borg phone system ("Press 9 for yet another opportunity to hear last year's Champs entry conditions") takes even half as long actually getting a call through it then recording all those messages is keeping someone occupied full time.

We all knew Lydia before we'd even met her. She was the perfect woman we'd dreamt of - who was then made flesh in the arms of another man :tears:

Regretfully the internet archive (aka the wayback machine) doesn't have a copy (http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://home.clara.net/spats) of the page. Yet.

Possibly a bonus '*' in the URL.

Try http://web.archive.org/web//http://home.clara.net/spats

The archive is a treasure trove - thanks + rep DS.

I did not realise www.lejive.co.uk grew quite so big before collapsing - a warning to those entering the business.
----
I had hoped that the jivebug lessons might be archived, but apparently not.

Hey Viktor,

I've just been contacted by an emissary from The Borg who wants to find out who wrote the website (Mike's perplexed, allegedly.) - They haven't found your posting in this thread yet, but it can only be a matter of time. My advice is to flee the the galaxy before they catch up with you.

Seriously though, contact details of their current web-designer are in a PM to you, if you're willing to risk instant assimilation...

You've got nowhere to hide, wherever you go the Borg intend to dominate. Another galaxy is still inside their target area. The only option is to go underground or disguise youself as one of them. We all know how to do that ...

.. IT'S FIVE AND SIX AND SEVEN AND EIGHT
