FF0000 is hex for Red (when using RGB colour system, which monitors do), FF for maximum Red, and 00 being none for Green and Blue.

0000FF as above but for Blue.

The second bit is explained by Martins link, and you would only know it i imagine if you had a regular and varied use of the internet a year or 2 ago. So proof, you're not a geek :) (you're too cute anyway :) )
