Since most of the major dance comps in the country state that teachers and professionals may not enter certain categeries. Does anyone know how far the word "teacher" extends to?Does that mean currently teaching or has done at some point in their life? For example would it be legitimate to enter with someone that was once a teacher but know only dances socially?

Hehe, I was wondering about that, too. Not that I am keen on comps but I'd also say that it'd be not particularly fair if I'd start in anything less than the teachers category.

Perhaps they put a time frame to it of 3-5 years of non-teaching or something like that.

If I remember correctly, for the Blackpool competition, you have to have not earnt any money from dancing for 2 years to be classed as a non-teacher.
