Thanks guys and mouses...

Bob, the 30/01 and 03/02, I'll be in W. Mids and could do with not travelling too far as I'm already on the road with the band.

So, of the above dates, where's cool and where's not? Where's my best chance of a dodgy african meal? Want to PM me where your A list dancers are going?!?

There is no significant MJ in Norwich on a Thursday night. If you are in the area on that night you could try either:
Ipswich (Ceroc Anglia) www.cerocanglia.co.uk - but an hour from Norwich
Thetford (Footloose) www.foot-loose.org.uk - but 40 mins from Norwich
A pity you weren't planning to be there on Monday-Wednesday, you would have much more choice in Norwich itself.

I would say Twyford, because i have heard from reliable sources that you are worth a twirl on the dance floor and i am going to Twyford. So purely recommended for selfish reasons!!

So, Twyford it is.

Fri: Casbah looks like an option.

Thur: Northampton

Wed: Anywhere between Lincs and Norfolk.

Any local knowledge or recommendations, please?

ps A HUGE thank you to those who have helped: is very much appreciated.

CJ

ps A HUGE thank you to those who have helped: is very much appreciated.Hmm, the area between Lincs and Norfolk is a bit of a wasteland, so you won't be surprised to find there is little to do, let alone any MJ options. On a Wednesday night if you still need a dance fix your nearest might be Cambridge (Ceroc Central) but personally I would try to end up further south or west on that day...

Well, what's happening?!? Didn't someone start a thread entitled last weekend in Feb or something asking where is cool to go?!?!?!?!?!?!? :tears:
Ahhhhhh... this thread!

Well.... in Bristol on the evening Friday 25th (8pm - 1am) at the BAWA - we will be celebrating the 40th birthdays of Trinity's Dave & Gareth. It'll also feature the lovely Kate & Will teaching a Jango class and a heat of the Best In The West competition. So it won't be dull.

Then, on Saturday at 5pm, the equally lovely Lily & DavidB have been invited by Leroc2000 to teach a WCS workshop at Newman Hall, followed at 8pm by a freestyle. :D

Bristol isn't that far away, you know.

Just came across this thread a little late.

I feel Surbiton has to get a mention for this Friday night, (and every Friday night for that matter). Ceroc Surrey have their WCS and Jive night on Friday's (with 2 rooms so you take your pick). Last Friday we had several world class dancers there (and I'm NOT exaggerating!) Including Paul Warden's teaching of course.
It's easy to get there by public transport too, check out the Ceroc Surrey website for details, and this Friday I shall be dancing, not DJing
