I know this will sound silly but a comment like (on their web site).....

"breakfast in pyjamas (dressing gowns acceptable) - last sitting 9:45"

for real or toungue in cheek ??

If most do it ill find a dressing gown !

The only person who I know who has ever been to Hotel venue said its more friendly very different to a Camber/Southport.

Yes, it'll happen! I remember there was a pyjama shag on the IoW RB's.

SpinDr.

P.S. See you there :)

I'm going - my 3rd time at this venue!

Anyone not wearing PJs at breakfast on Sunday may feel a little ... naked ...?

Anyone know what the difference is between "main hall" and "studio"? Is the studio for dance gods and the main hall for the washed masses?

I gather that this will be the last time RB will be held in this classic venue. The hotel is closing down to make way for a modern development :tears:

Sue and I were popping in so Sue could order some of Tor's fab made-to-order shoes - but now we're going to be in the audience at SCD instead  :gloat:

And, to answer Martin, the main hall is exactly that. The studio is an aerobics style studio that looks like it was converted from the top half of an indoor swimming pool. I expect everyone of every ability will be welcome everywhere - a PJ shag is a great leveller. My advice is to consider your slippers/footwear very carefully

I went last time and I enjoyed it. They had an African 'band' and troupe of dancers which were brilliant. Food? go vege is my advice. Many dressing gowns, it is true. Mainly rectangular swimming pool (unlike Bognor). Dance floor is very good and there is an extension bit which is perfectly ok. The town? Forget it; Eating out? Try Kemp Town which is a slightly bohemian part of Brighton and has a few restaurants. It is the right end for your hotel. Marina is near too (casino, bowling, steak houses - that sort of thing).

If nobody has photos, it should be on the DVD. :) I confess I was surprised how danceable my slippers were...

and just what else were you wearing at the time ... or were you one of the guys who just took off their trousers :D

Luckily, I'd road-tested my slippers beforehand ...

ok so the cafe bit which was meant to be open from 11am till 3pm and when you asked at 12.30 why it wasnt open and they said they didnt know when it was due to open etc + some poor organisation in parts

or the fact hotel needs to be demolished, i think it is next yr ?

The massively overcomplicated leans and drops lesson, last one which saw many walk off.

But tap lindy and everything else was great

I went freestyling on Sunday night and it was a lovely atmosphere at the end when Andy took some pics of 'insomniacs anonymous'; Emma was fantastic and i was swapping between three young ladies at the end (any on here?) and loving every minute...
There was a lot of latin music thro the evening...wasn't one's cup of Earl Grey. Comment invited..

The rumour I heard was that it's going to be de-hotelled, because it's no longer profitable, and turned into a library, some flats, and maybe some other stuff.
