Thought it may be nice to have a thread where we can all talk about how much fun Sunday (and Saturday night) is going to be??????

And how about a little rivalry (how DO you spell that????) - who's going to win what???

Will Bill run away with every first prize going? (Well not the intermediate). Or will Dundee take the team event????? Will any of the teachers get through to the second round of the lucky dip?

What are your worries? Nerves setting in yet? Will you let your lucky dip partner drop Gus? Suggestions for keeping going for 12 hours? How to avoid sore feet ladies? How much chocolate should we take to see us through the day? Are there people going from the Forum who've never met that want to make sure they get a dance from each other???? How much are you dreading getting that lucky dip partner who is the partner from hell?

well as for me .........I'm just looking forward to seeing everyone have a great time...........honest:grin:

For the first time I'll be able to cheer on everyone as I would imagine the vast majority of folk will be from the Scottish clubs. And I can't wait to see the team cabarets.

As some folk will know I tend to get very nervous on the day but I feel very realxed (at the moment!):what: I think the worst thing will be the fact that most people will know us all and if I make a mess of it ( as with the team event last year - if you don't believe me just look at the video..................I'm the one facing in the wrong direction !)

Ah well it's all for charity ..........and are you going to the party and the comp Veela???????

Totally agree Bill...it's gonna be great catching up with the old and new faces :D

As this will be the first time i've ever competed it's not sank in yet. Like you Bill i'm feeling very relaxed....for now!!
I haven't even practised yet! i'm gonna be a total wreck on the day, will probably fall over at every available opportunity and need my partner to hold me up all the way through the dance....
One good thing......i'm not competeing against Bill and Fran! thank christ!

Not the party - my feet couldn't take the pace. I will be at the competition and I'll try to grab you for a dance in between you running from competition to competition and the changing rooms:grin:

Theres only a few of us really who have aliases and it will be such a let down when anyone meets me :). Does Franck mention the forum at his classes? as it seems to have grown quite a bit in the last few months.

Franck - how about it?????? Or maybe we can get Sheena to sort out banners for us all?????

As Bill said - only 3 in advanced catagory ! I hope that improves - a guaranteed place for all there but i imagine most of us want to see the advanced dancers - and even if those 3 are all Scottish entries, theres no way theres only 3 advanced couples in the whole of Scotland...or are they all qualified Ceroc teachers and can't enter?
I don't have a comment on this - I've just moved it from another thread!

I've emailed Franck to ask him for suggestions on setting up Forum Corner - I think it's going to add to the fun of the day putting faces to names.

Can anybody tell me where the thread is that had FCs pictures of all the girls from the forum????

I emailed Franck and he says it's ok for me to put up a notice on the results board saying where and when we should all meet. On that note do people want to leave it later in the day (after the competition is finished?) or earlier if possible so that we've more time to socialise?

Also Sheena, Franck suggested you could make up some of your t-shirts and sell them for the Red Cross?????? I didn't know what he was talking about - but thought it may be a bit late?????

He must mean the ' I love Sophie Ellis Bextor' T-shirts.

The competition is fixed, you won't win without one ;).

I think I'm going to have to stop reading the forum for a short while now, because it's just making me soooo sad that I won't be there for the competition and all the partying.

Just make sure that it's such a success, it becomes an annual event and I'll be able to come up next year. And can we have some photos of the event (with labels/names) posted up on the website afterwards?

I think it's on the social events...the thread is called "on a brighter note" It's not real pics of us so chances are you still won't have a clue who we are.

However i know Sheena has made us a big banner for our table, so everyone find it and come join us :D:D

I may be making an appearance at the 10 year party, if Franck gets round to replying to the PM I sent him!. And if my dodgy calf muscle survives this weekend's trip to Coventry for the Steve Mitchell workshop I may be popping up at a Ceroc class soon!

Well after a little help from DS I've now figured out who you are.
I've met you and danced with you and it was great - thanks.
See you at the party hopefully.
