Did you know it's Lory's Birthday that day also. She tells me that Ann Summers nik naks are a fave of hers if anyone's thinking of buying her a present!

There were approx 250 at the first one and this time there is a recommended band "The Fraud Squad" who will be playing for an hour. Also the gorgeous Gary and Hayley are doing a class.

Just wanted to say an early Happy Birthday to Lory - I'm sorry I won't be able to make it to Ashtons (and I won't even have e-mail access to be able to wish you happiness on the actual day :( ) - still hopefully you'll like your card, and I'll certainly be thinking of you and sending you good vibes .
Have a dance for me, please!

That means on July 24th 2005 you'll be half my age :tears:

But that always invites the phrase "what are you doing having fantastic* sex with him, he's twice your age?"

See you friday

I've got a nice new orange sleeved surfers rash vest I want to try dancing in but I could be tempted out of it by the right suggestion

There's a load of Forumites chatting nicely about going out, none of us has a financial interest in the event and nobody's removed this thread.

Great moderating

And we've even got a moderator coming, will we be allowed to talk about anything or will she put chocolates into our mouths to silence us if we stray off topic? :waycool:

Pammy's dress did that if you just lifted her arms. And I had her bra-strap in my pocket so I knew she wasn't fully supported

It was a bit hot, the band did occasionally stray off key, but otherwise it was a great night with loads of fab dancers, food, great music (and Devil Gate Drive, which I haven't heard since youth club in the '70s). As far as bands go at MJ events this one was as good as you're going to get and did add to the atmosphere - but I would still have preferred CDs.

All in all, this venue is well worth a visit. Am I going to have to go up there once a month now - maybe I should buy that minibus I keep thinking about.

I must say I prefer the 'new' Ashtons   shame it's not a bit bigger, it could be the perfect place for the Ceroc Champs
