It was interesting to see at Southport that quite a few people were arranging private lessons with some of the teachers. Is this something more people are interested in? Is it worth trying to arrange this in a similar way to the massage booking - a list of teachers, their availability, & what they specialise in?

I'd say so, Amir did that when he was up here, and Ive heard more people talking about private lessons. Its not going to be cheap but could be worth it for a lot of people. It was certainly worth it for me - then I go and spoil it all by barely dancing for 3 months :(.

Yes, I was asked about doing private tuition at the next jive extravaganza in September (NOT the Strictly Sinful kind on this occasion I hasten to add....), as indeed have a number of other teachers.

There seems to be a demand and also an opportunity worth investigating with the teachers and organisers I reckon.

The Blitz event at Ribby Hall in November is already pre-organising this.

All(?) of the teachers (and some DJs!!!) have been asked if they are prepared to give private lessons over the course of the weekend, and this will be advertised at the weekend.

I have been trying to get this idea off the ground at last two Camber events in the games room, hopefully it will happen now

I'd say yes it would be beneficial to mann improvers to have a private lesson with a teacher who could analyse dancers style/moves and prescribe remedies to dance problems.

Can I suggest the title DANCE DOCTORS as a good trading name!!!! :yeah:

Thats 5% to me for a start

barely dancing for 3 months :(.

How did I miss this one? I would like to apologise to my loyal fan

Of course dancing in the "barely" is to be encouraged, but 3 months is a bit excessive:wink:
