Yes I do trot off if I hear certain tracks!! Not if I'm with a partner I like though. At RB I think we carried on and danced to the 'Telephone Song' didn't we??:worthy:
Being a Zebra I like horses for courses. The man and his favourite song, that is truly an honour (even if it's one I don't like that much). That's the beauty of it......I can grow to like it.
I do gallop away from certain tracks:
'Reach', 'I won't change you', and 'Golden Balls'.
You won't see me for dust, even if it is your favourite.....

They are bad for me, but I'm sure somebody likes them. 10 year old girls like 'Reach' 'cos it has a dance to go with it, and Mrs Beckham must like 'Golden Balls'....How lucky of you not to have come across them...I hope it stays that way

I tend to hold the move with a little wiggle or something, just till my partner gets back on beat again. If he persistently dances off-beat, which the odd one or two do, then I generally say with a smile "oops we're a bit off-beat" hold the move a fraction to get back on track, then they usually get the message.

Yes, i was going to say that also - slowing down a move by being a little more forceful than usual does the trick! Or perhaps just letting go of the handhold altogether.....but then the man usually disapproves thinking your a bad follower!!

And Bardsey, have you never heard of the 80/20 rule. It states that its the man's fault 90% of the time, or is that for 90% of the men it's always their fault? Or is it 20% of the time our partner would rather be some where else? I don't know, I've probably got it wrong.

I tend to hold the move with a little wiggle or something, just till my partner gets back on beat again. ...Early on in my dance career there was a lady "built like a Godess" who had a personality that I hated. She had a wiggle to die for. I found that I could not dance with her. I kept making hesitating, making mistakes, and going off-beat. I watched her dancing with other leads, guys and girls, and they had no problems, so I knew it was me. Eventually I noticed that the wiggle factor was not there for other leads. I worked out that she was using the wiggle as a fill-in whilst I tried to get my act together.
One night I was walking home from a jam session when the revalation hit me. It was a case of Pavlov's dog. If every time I made a mistake I was rewarded by a wiggle, I was subconciously reacting by making more mistakes. Personality clash there might have been, but there was also a sexual chemistry thing going on as well.
