If you are on the MoJive mailing list you may have received an email suggesting that you may have been exposed to the JDBGMGR virus.

Symantec recommend that you do not follow the instructions in the email.

A good general guidline is if you get virus warnings from ANYWHERE just delete them and carry on with your life. Your virus killer is there to detect viruses - if you dont have one, get one free from www.grisoft.com (windows only but if you have a Mac, or other OS you dont have a problem anyway :) )

A web search on "Urban myths" and a few selected words from the text will probably lead you to many sites which have the truth about tall tales, including virus hoaxes.

Usually just a search for the file name that you are supposed to delete will bring up relevant warnings.

If you have no anti-virus, or out of date software, there are free online scans available to ensure that you are not infected.

Close enough, Microsoft actually describe it as "Microsoft® Debugger Registrar for Java".

If you don't use your PC for Java debugging you are unlikely to miss it if you delete it.
The Hoax message writer could have probably made many much more destructive choices of file to suggest you delete.
I guess the attraction of that one is the teddy bear icon which looks a bit suspicious, making the message more believable.
I don't see the connection between teddy bears and Java debuggers, someone at Microsoft must be weird...
