This may have been covered elsewhere ... but HELP!

I've received a number of emails from a UK organisation (that makes a change) and despite 2 emails back they still spam me. Under the new legislation, whats my next level of recourse? Anyone know? OH ... luckily its not Viagra, Penis extensions or slimming pills......

There ought to be a law against it, and there ought to be action on the law against it, are two very different things. I wonder if there is actually a budget allocation for dealing with the problem?

I did think about setting up a special PC, putting all the spam sites into the address book, and then opening every attachment I was sent

Goddamn it Gus!!!!

You had my hopes all built up there!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thing is: you just know that any new laws are going to hammer the poor sucker who wasn't lucky enough to get a grip on new virus and his system has accidentally sent out lots of viruses, and completely ignore the penis extension, cheap mortgage, viagra, diploma, smut brigade.

If its their real business email addres and they just arent noticing your requests - give me their email address and ill mail bomb them (should incovenience for an hour or 2 - thousands of messages saying 'thankyou for taking me off your list - have sent this a few times so i know you've got the message :) )

This page (http://www.wiredsafety.org/gb/law/spam/) has a good summary of the new UK Spam laws as well as a link at the bottom to the full Privacy and Electronic Communication Regulations 2003 and a link for how to make a complaint.

Good luck - If you do take this further I'd be very interested to know how you get on.
