Proof that the same side of our brain cannot do 2 different things at once...

While sitting at your desk make clockwise circles with your right foot. While doing this, draw the number "6" in the air with your right hand. Your foot will change direction.

and if you concentrate on the foot you end up drawing a backwards 6. :) My class thinks im weird now

I can just about do it if I'm doing both slowly.... But I'm a freak too...

It's easier if you do the 6 from the other end of the line.... :cheater's grin:

Oh don't worry, I already do. Most specimens come from the office afterall, colleagues who've over-stepped the limit by making tedius gorilla jokes :what: :really:

All it takes is one swift swoop with the post knife and there's another head in my bag... :innocent:

And you want to come on a flight with me???

I don't think they'll let you wear the box when the plane is taxi-ing; the flight attendants wouldn't be able to do their "last minute checks" with that in place.

Maybe that's when I'll strike...

... ... I mean swoop!

A quick look at this thread reminded me of a couple of things I didn't have the nerve to post (maybe you will?)

True - you know women cricketers wear protection too, they don't call them boxes, but "manhole covers"

Maybe true - Do you know what all blonde scouse tarts and jumbo jets have in common?

They've all got a black box.

Can do the 6 thing with clock wise circle.

Also, can **** my eyes...... hold one there whilst the other moves.

I think it's a musician thing where youlearn to seperate the actions of different parts of you body......

Took a lot of effort, but......

... with the help of the "Madonna" mic, I can play guitar, sing and headbang in 3 different rhythms!!

God damn it, some one get me out the house!!!!!!!!!!!!

Most people on this forum are dancers so this one is probably too easy.

Stand.
Make clockwise circles with your right foot.
While still doing this, draw a six in the air with your right hand.

OOoooh!!

I can do it too. But as Tim has just said, ''ah, but you're a drummer''.

I agree with CJ, I think being a musician helps with co-ordination.

Lotsa love Lorna x-x

Yeah, I asked a friend last night, he could do it the first time he tried (though found it more difficult when he thought about it!) and he is a musician (keyboard & guitar).

I couldn't do it at all when I tried first of all.

But I spent a few minutes practising moving my right foot in straight lines in the opposite direction to my right hand.

When I tried the circle and six again it was better but still a bit pants.

This was a couple of days ago.

Today I find I can do it much more easily. So what's gone on in me brain while I haven't been thinking about it?????
