No excuse any longer for not dancing 7 days a week.
Godalming on Sundays is now established - I went along to their second night tonight and it was quite fun. There must have been about 100 there, maybe a few more. 7-11, even an advanced class, which wasn't really, but what there was was taught quite nicely, and the moves illustrated the principles, rather than just being a bunch of arm-winding moves.
The floor is nice, there were some familiar faces, and the music was quite interesting. Different - the DJ played a whole stack of oldies but goodies from quite a few years ago, as well as a few current faves including such things as "LA Ex", and "A nightingale sang in Berkeley Square", and even a bit of country, which I always like in small doses.
Had some nice dances, it was thinning out by about 10:15, and I left a bit early myself. It's worth giving it a go if you're down that way, I'd say.
