Had this dream about me and DavidB.....

We were in the back of a big car ... an estate possibly..... lying down.... possibly inside a sleeping bag... there was no hot stuff going on or anything..... it was really very innocent....just talking... but knowing we were very close - in a best friend kind of way.. a bit like being with a school chum in primary school.... you know that staying-over-and-having-a-midnight-feast thing you used to do......

Over to you Chris....

Wxxx

PS Anyone else had dreams they want (dare !!!) to share ????

Wendy

Oops .....sorry .. this should have been in chit chat... unless someone comes up with a dream about dancing of course....

Not at all, just that I don't have the imagination this early on a Saturday for coming up with a suitable "interpretation".

Only during the day :D

Actually if I did, I think I'd be too scared to dance well... :tears:

I don't think I've ever dreamt of anything dance related, though.

I spend so much time being slightly (!) obsessive about dancing when I'm awake, I think my brain insists on a rest from it overnight... :nice:

Wendy
17th-January-2004, 01:31 PM
Spose mine wasn't dance-related just that it involved the wonderful DavidB.... had one about Bill BTC Foreman once too.. we were sitting in a classroom.. single rows of those old desks .. the ones with ink wells and the lids that lift up.... can't remember the details now....

Wxxx

No-one else seems to be responding to this... I can't beleive there haven't been dreams dreamt out there....

I don't mind admitting, and I will probably get some stick over this bu what the eck:

about 18 months or so ago I went to Bromley a few times with our kid, I was still an inexperienced dancer back then, but I remeber seeing this young woman dressed in black leather trousers and a sort of black leather halter neck top.
:what: no its not rude:what:
but I remember watching her dance and I clearly rember dreaming about being good enough to dance with her.

What is more I am not really religous but there must be a god up there because I now Taxi dance with the one and same person, and often dance in a provocative manner with her (many thanks to mikey and his class at camber:wink:  )

So there you go dreams do come true

Well you wanted dreams?

Any dream analysts out there?

Three recurring nightmares..........

1)Sitting on the toilet in public:sad: :tears: :what: What the heck does this mean?

2)Finding my teeth in my mouth, crumbling away, have to spit them out:really: This apparently is a sexual dream-gawd knows why?

3)Being unable to get through to someone urgently on the phone, keep dialling-this means apparently that I have a problem in my life, and when its solved , I will get through on the phone. This has happened, havent had this dream for ages:na:

Help!

Help! I'd love to know too as I have the same 1st 2 dreams as you....

1. I'm desperate for a wee wee:blush: but the only toilets I can find are filthy, except one and that one has glass walls! :what:

2. I'm at a very posh dinner party, with loads of people I don't know and my teeth start crumbling, I try to hide it and carry on as normal, hoping nobody notices!

My 3rd recurring dream is.... I'm walking down the road and I suddenly step down a curb i didn't see, it always wakes me up with a horrible jolt! :tears:

Hey Dance Demon, I presume it was worse for you as you would have had FEMALE nurses looking after you, I was lucky to have NO male nurses in the ward at that time.........
Also had to be fed....have my bottom wiped......have my teeth brushed......
Having said that went on to do my nurse training, so gave me an insight in to what the patients were feeling , especially when nurses say those immortal words....."I'll be back in a minute...!"

yeah right!

Desperation to use the toilet:-Tensions that need to be released
Toilets:-Flushing away the past or financial troubles
Dirt filth:-forwarning of imminent change
Glass walls:- indication of anxiety, possibly unconcious reaction to emotions concerning your present situation

Teeth falling out:-Indicates a phase of new growth into new spheres of activity or social sceene

Walking:-Paths to tread. the ease with wich you tread your path reflects the ease you will have accomplishing your aims
Falling:-Short distances means setbacks will be overcome quickly
Falling long distances shows the changes you make in life will take much effort to achieve

I hardly ever remember my dreams, one or two a year, but I sleep deeply and spend little time in R.E.M so I've been told. Hope this helps:nice: :nice:

Me neither. Oh g*d I hope WE'RE not twins ! ! !

The only dream I really remember was too many years ago to admit.
I was on a train and was told I could ride on the front, so I did. I was getting all excited as we were about to enter a tunnel, but then my excitement turned to fear as I could not see the end of the tunnel.
As we got too near I then jumped off the front of the train.
Naturally I awoke at this time as I had banged my head on the bedroom door. OUCH. The bedroom door was a good two feet from the side of my bed, so that must have been some leap ! !:really:

You guys don't dream about dancing? Wow - I thought that with the amount some of you post on the forum there was nothing else that crossed your mind?!! :D

I dream LOTS every night. And remember lots too. They fascinate me.

My dancing dreams are usually about trying to get to a competition in time, and find my partner and get my outfit sorted before I miss my event. Have had lots of these dreams.

And as for deep meanings... well, I found that recurring toilet one where you can't get any privacy usually meant I just needed to get up and go to the loo!! (Am I really discussing this in public?!:what: )

I have dancing dreams most nights - I love it when, in my dreams, I'm doing these fantastic moves that I've never seen before ... And hate it when I've forgotten how to do them by the time I get to show Marc!

Funnily enough, Wendy - I've dreamt of DavidB, too! He was with Lily, though, and they were about to perform a showcase at my workplace.

The third dream has a very simple explanation. It is called a myoclonic jerk and falls under the same category as falling dreams.

In the olden days there was an old wives tale that if you ever hit the bottom when you had a falling dream then you would die. When the psychologists and science got to grips with it they tried to explain that it was the shock to the human body of hitting the bottom that would kill you and cause physical results.

Happily, this has now been disproven. I think a lot of it is also acounted for by the various (4?) stages of sleep and the transgression between the stages.

Other interesting facts are:

1 - most people never have a lucid dream until they become aware of the fact that they can happen
2 - during some stages of sleep the body is catatonic and if you are awakened from this stage of sleep you will feel if you are being held down or are imprisoned/paralysed. This can often result in reports of demon or alien visits.

Another interesting concept is covered in "The Bloxham Tapes"

As a Pychotherapist I'm not into dream interpretation - all a bit mumbo jumbo however from a number of clients who reported similar experiences of dreams involving loose teeth, etc, there is a loose and tentative link between them that relates to a fear of ageing / missing out on things in life / being undecided / being less truthful about somethin close...

I would advise people generally to stick away from dream interpretations. Whilst themes may be similar, the experience of the individuals are not and each is individual to the person experiencing the dream.

What it means for you / to you and the recent events of your life is totally up for anyone's interpretation. Whose would you rather have - yours or another person?

Just a thought......right back to sleep....

Oh, wow! that ALL applies to me and I didn't even dream about crumbling teeth

Here's some food for thought, since you mentioned it:

3 girls each go to see Gypsy Rose on Scarborough beach to have their fortunes read. Girl A is a complete believer, Girl B is a total disbeliever and Girl C is curious.

They are all told that they will travel across water, meet a tall, dark handsome stranger and marry him.

Person A (believer) notes the sea and thinks - well water, and then SEEKS OUT every tall dark handsome stranger wondering if this is the one that she will marry

Person B (non-believer) notes the sea and think - uhm, water and then AVOIDS every talk dark handsome stranger so that the fortune cannot come true

Person C (curious) notes the sea and thinks - interesting and then NOTICES every tall dark handsome stranger.

In other words, Gordon. I agree entirely.

Whatever you believe, you will make it happen :waycool:

Still, for some it's fun :)

I had a way interesting dream when I was younger and two years later dreamed the sequel to it. Interesting to note that it wasn't when I awoke that I realised it was a sequel to a dream I had already had - it was the character in the dream that realised it was a sequel.

I wrote them both down and will post them some time so that everybody can have a hack at my inner child

Yea, but not as spooky as dreaming future events: on more than one occasion I have thought "dejavoux" - then though some more about it and realised that I had actually dreamed it at some point (I remember the precursor and waking from it thinking "weird - a dream of normality!"): even to the point that I could tell what the next person through a door would be wearing and when a child would run away from his mother... unfortunatly it's only moment by moment and always trivial. It's never watching the lottery (in time to put on a ticket) or who's going to win the national

Then again, I dream with full vivid colour, touch and smells - most people (seemingly) only dream in monochrome.

I'm the same. It scares me sometimes how real my dreams are!

Ahh! but what about dreams where you dreamed that you woke up instead of actually waking up; or dreams that you share with your partner? Has anybody ever had one of those?

The film Dreamscape is pretty cool (although a bit old now).

Has any one played the dream game (it’s a word game similar to “Martha and Nora “)

Can anyone work out to play it on a forum

A group “invent” a dream for someone

The person has to guess what the dream was, but they are only allowed to ask YES/NO questions

The answerer to your question is NO

In that case a group of people could work out the dream in PM's and then let the person know when they have got the dream sorted - suggest a new thread in chit chat or something. at the end - simply post the dream.
